I know there have been plenty of threads about this but has anyone else noticed that they are getting the "there is a problem with your connection", fuck up. I had a couple of times since downloading the patch but today and yesterday it's happened virtually every other round FFS. And to boot it always seems to be on rounds where I am doing quite well. It happened like three times yesterday and about four times today, and to be honest it making think "um can I be bothered to go on BF if I gonna spend half the time trying to find a decent server, then get on there rack up 30-40 points for it to crash resulting in a total waste of time..."

Anyway rant over, but this really is getting beyond a joke, I have been an loyal BF fan and prior to this I haven't really had any major gripes. Something needs to be done, I was looking to forward to Armoured Fury but now I don't know whether to bother buying it if I can't even play the bloody thing. Second rant over.

So has anyone else noticed that this problem has worsened in the last couple of days??

Yup, same here. Happening every 5-10 minutes in the last few days. I was a couple kills away from my Aerial Service Ribbin with plenty of tickets left, when I got disconnected. And soon after, the server crashed. I'm not a flyer, so this was an accomplishment for me.

sometimes 5x a day
sometimes none
it doesnt seem to be map dependant either

I do seem to have a few more than normal but not anything too significant. Hasn't ruined any good rounds for me although I don't have a lot of those.

Yep, it's definitely been the worst during patch 1.3.

If this is the coding quality that EA/Dice are applying to the Battlefield series then I won't be touching BF2142.

Yeah I get this all the time now, I've gone from "never any issues" to "argh I'm going to kill BF2 and everyone who made patch 1.3" within a few clicks of the old download box

Like most folks it seems to happen most when I'm on a 100+ run or just about to get an award.

Most frustrating indeed.

used to happen to me but i did a complete reinstall and patched with the 1.3 full. problems solved. no more disconnects or CTD's.

Yup, just did this last night. No more issues on my side. Just the occassional Server side crashes now.

Been using incramental patches from the beginning. Never had a problem since. 2 or 3 CTDs in as many months, nothing serious.

Finally Another persons thats pissed. Join the club mate...!! Though I haven't had alot of connection problems yet I do have the problem that my game crashes when I'm in Special Forces, join a BF2 server, then its gonna recalibrate everything to BF2, I join the server and then teh game crashes, happens every time and every time I keep forgetting that my game will just crash.. besides that I only find the gameplay slow and rubbish, I've had to lower my graphics cuz somehow its causing huge lagg, dunno why but anyhow.

Same problem here, and my CPU is every time 100% in use,... dont get the point. At early times I could get my setting on Medium/High, now even low doesn't work anymore.. Any ideas ?

I just want to clear this up and see if the same problem I get is the one you are talking about:

I will be randomly playing then the screen will pause and sound will continualy repeat itself. After about maybe 30 seconds or more it will resume play then immediately get connection problems and disconnect.

Is this the problem you are talking about or something else?

Nope, don't think we have the same problem my kind of lag is different. Constantly my screen pauses for like 1 one second, over and over again and after about 3 round i get a disconnect...

today its worse then EVER... after reconnecting for, like the 25th time in 2 hours play.. i just went off the game and hit the sofa instead! fuck EA..!!! i wrote them a mail the other day, and got a response today, "we´re very sorry about the problems you are having, we are working as hard as we can to make it work, but we don´t have a new patch ready in the near future" bla..bla..bla.. so i sent back an mail saying "mail me when the new patch is out, so i can start play again"....=/ im so mad right now!!!
