What time period would u like to see Battlefield 3 in?

Id like to see it in modern just like BF2 but have some fake slighly futuristic weapons.
But on the eve of DX10 full destructable stuff we could have fully designed inside and walls being able to blow open, this would revoultionize the BF series

You haven't heard of Battlefield 2142 yet? That's the third set of their franchise out and it's got all the futuristic you'll need.

i want an old bf3, like Battlefield 1943!!! thats would be the best! love the old rifles... like the springfield hehe and just the old setting with trenches and explosions of dirt and things like that

ya thats not next gen, thats more like a expansion to BF2, its same engine same animations. jesus ea get a new idea or at least make it new. and its the 4th one in the franchise

BF2142 wil come out only to make some more money to EA. I dont think that it is worth of it to buy and play, if you already have good game(no comments about patches). Cohammer, I agree with you, it would be fantastic to blow up walls and hide in buildings. And every map would have grapples and zips. BF3 maybe with more armies...

It would also revolutionize how few players play BF3, SOME people have crap machines, I don't think they would, besides, EA can't barely handle NON-destructive environments.

if they do implement dx10 stuff that would make a point for me to know why every game would be reloaded because every single battleground would be decimated beyond recognition, in any case, BF2142 is still a classified Battlefied 3 without the '3'

What would be the next thing be out if they do make an official Battlefield 3? Perhaps they'll go medieval? Oh yes, let's all go back to Middle Age and have everyone be crossbowmen and knights. Or worse, a ridiculously Buck Rogers type franchise, and ooh, yes, with DX10 capabilities.

id like to See alot of major world powers today, similar guns but diffrent maps, and more than 2 factions per map

id like to see:
russia, North korea, germany, africa coalition, japan, and some others that are fake

modern is best, maybe a large connection between battles like: fight one battle(oilfield), win and then next battle between the 2 on a diffrent map the army that lost the last battle would have very few vechiles and slower vech respawns

its going to be a LOOOOOOONG time before you see a modern game with japan....as per rules of WWII surrender they are not allowed to militarize.

Personally, I prefer historical themes. I'm patiently waiting for Forgotten Hope 2. I was a big fan of the BF1942 mod and can't wait to see what they can do with the BF2 engine!

They should make somethn u can wear while u play that recognises where u get hit but the bullets so u can feel it. More realistic

I tried it once and I hated it... something about a ranger who stunned me and the stun would NEVER go away and I lost horribly... it was terrible, never playing it again, Rival Nations all the way.

NOW back to TOPIC! BF3, already in works, it's Bf2142, whether people establish it as naught, that's their problem until EA says otherwise. Though the fact remains they haven't STATED this is a BF3, it very well might as be since what could a BF3 possibly be? A revamped BF2 with a new engine? Perhaps.

Let's pray this doesn't happen, this would ultimately prove EA has no soul for the gamers and is only all about what they can push as far as the gaming limit can go, only to stress the boundaries of these limitations... BUGS & EXPLOITS!!!

If you guys are counting BF:2142 as BF3 you need to check your math.

BF:V, BF:SW, and any other expansion EA realeased for 42 needs to be counted.....

I would assume by BF3 he means the 3rd BF ENGINE.

2142 is a MOD. It will run onthe same Engine as BF2. Which means no Widescreen support, Same Physics with no PhysX Support, Samne bugs, etc etc etc.....
