ohhhh man if they only knew the joy and the danger doing that with a brad. when i was driver i was the king of "aquiring" everything we needed. Ill have like 3 tankers bars 2 14mm, like 5 tent poles (HA) and three of everything in my tool bag, including 3 extra tool bags. Everybody was missing shit but my track. you know how THAT is
i loved telling FNG to do all this shit
soft spots on the armor
blank adapter for the 25mm
shocks on the sprockets
air pressure in the road wheels
the big black trash bag to get air samples
i know im missing some
get the keys to the manuver box so i can turn on the range fans
Don't forget the squelch juice, lol!

Basic at Ft. Jackson, SC.... omw I hate humidity!
AIT at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.... omw I love the dryness!
3 Yrs at Ft. Meade, MD.... omw I hate the BAD DRIVERS!
I have played BF2 since 2005-08-30 and I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I view video games as 1, going to places that can never be real and doing stuff that is the thoughts of science fiction.... 2, as going to real places and doing real things that the average person could never be able to do, 3, a mix between them. I see BF2 as the 2nd one.. we are able to go into combat and be soldiers trying to accomplish a goal in a real world environment (in fictional locations). Using real world weapons, vehicles, and items. But in playing I see major flaws in all of this.. yes I understand that it's an all imcompassing game and that it can't be exact according to the real world, but a lot can change to make it just a tiny bit more real. But I am comparing a lot of this against another video game which has taken EVERY effort possible to ensure real world effects are reflected in the gaming experiance. America's Army, built by the Army and private contractors (wish I was one of them) is the most realistic combat game i've ever seen. Yes the game is based largely on the infantry level but a lot of BF2 is as well. AA actually helped me improve my 25m range score from a 28 to a 36, I never practiced between the two times at the range, but I did play a lot of AA, now that's a good game....

Us grunts across the parking lot at B co. 1-18 always called it Kelley Kill.
I haveta ask. Were you in Task Force 1-18 or Task Force 2-69 for Operation Vigilant Warrior(Oct-Dec 94)?
I was in task force 2/69 that was the last time I was in the sand box before I got out. When I first got to Benning I was in admin at airborne school for 14 months. So from Feb 92 to Aug 93 I was at the airborne school. LOL a tanker at school, much less airborne. Its funny, I forgot it was vigilant warrior until you said it. Either way that was the third and final time i was there.Coot11M wrote:
