BF2S Forums Does everybody cheat to get knife badge?

I got my expert in a 64-player karkand server when there was only like 12 or 13 on the server.  Pretty easy to stalk 'em when the cmdr has the UAV on them full-time.

Case of good timing for me ... doubt I could replicate that if I tried.  But then again, I don't really have to now the req's are so low ...

i got my expert knife on sharqi... it was so ufkn hard.... didnt stat pad for it. again i got this pre 1.3 as well which means i got 18 kills IAR.  the requirements now are pathetic... the only award they really needed to change is the WCR and maybe the 25 heal and repair points in a round.

No you don't need to pad and those that did well they can feel real proud about what they did. With the new requirements tho they made this badge so damn easy its not funny.

Yes i got mine legit and i got mine before the new requirements. How i got it?? Well lots of practice, observing the most used routes, luck, the right place at the right time and over all just persistence.

I usually went sniper (other say medic to heal yourself, but i found it easier to not be seen, eg. not be shot, more say flash with f2000 assault but again, its hard to get people flashed for long enough and you don't have stamina). So i went sniper as your camouflaged and a lot of people mistake you for a team mate especially if you don't seem hostile at the time.

Sometimes id just wait for someone to walk by and jump down behind them run after them then stab then in the back. Other kills were on other snipers who don't protect there rear. And the most fun was running in the middle of a squad causing utter confusion as you run around in circles so they start spraying at nothing and you knife them while they are shooting at there team mate in confusion.

I got mine on sharqi because there's more cover for a sniper, but lots of people say karkand is the easiest because of the concentration of people. Some say play in an empty server as the games go for a lot longer i preferred a full server because there's more opportunity's to knife and you can create more confusion.

When trying to get my expert knife badge, I got 16 kills 3 times, 17 kills twice on sharqi, 15 kills twice and 17 kills once on karkand, before the elusive 18 (19 in fact) on a full 64 player sharqi server. Basically the trick is don't run straight at someone with a gun, thats just stupid. Get the kills from behind or create confusion so they don't shoot at you. It wont work all the time but with practice and persistence you should be able to get 18 no trouble and be proud to get the badge legit with the 'real' requirements not this new Noob friendly system.

But if all you want is the badge well you'd have had no problems going to a Knife/Pistol server anyway. I see badges a target to aim at to prove myself against high standard, But now EA's giving them away like a bad smell.

Yes I agree the new reqs are pathetic, But there was nothing wrong with the WCR. It gave an insentive to try and win instead of just getting the best K/D ratio or SPM. I worked for 3-4 months trying to get my W/L ratio up to 3 and 15 days before i should have got that they change the requirement so now i need another 50 hours as commander and 15k commander points. I'll work towards that, But im not happy about it.

The things i did agree with were the time reductions for badges, eg. 300 hours down to 150 etc. (not the ground def or Air def tho, they should still have a time requirement). The repair and heal, well im abit undecided, yes 25 was extremely hard and 20 just seems that much more obtainable, But 25 is possible and people need to relise that awards should not be for everyone, If you cant get it legit you dont deserve it, simple as that.

knife kills are easy as it is a one hit kill

The new expert knife req's are a joke, I'm glad I got mine before 1.3 because IMO it was prob the most fun and rewarding badge to get. I got mine on Mashtur, hiding in the little hut on the corner at hill outpost as medic when it was the last US base left, and when people came running to hide from our tank or heal on that big pile of health packs that I put there to heal myself, I just stabbed them in the face, was pretty funny really. Got 7 kills in a row doing that before finally getting wasted by a medics shock paddles when he came in to revive someone, lol. got about 13 total in that spot and the rest by just running round like a loon waiting for noobs to spray a whole clip at me then just stabbing them when they reload

i got my basic,and veteran knife badge the day b 4 the new patch came out...next day expert knife badge popped up ,so no i did not get 17 kills in a round but 4 those cats that have...WHEW!!! 7 was hard enough, i think i got 9 that round all together.best way to do it is go all round with knife out. peace

I got mine pre 1.3 as well.  I just needed some help from my clan mates.  They knew that I was going for it, so one guy was Comander and had UAV over me all the time, and another was a medic who didn't kill anyone, just revieved me.  I got 23 knife kills that round, 64 man Karkland with andout 20 people on it at 1st, but about 40 on it by the end.  It can be done.  Get some help, thats what friends are for.  Also I suggest being a sniper cause the skin looks the same for both MEC and USMC, so in that brief second befroe your name shows up in red on your victims screen you have a chance to stab them.  In fact I ran up to a squad of five from behind and killed them one by one, they must have thought that i was one of them, or maybe I was red bugged, that might explain alot.
PS Pistol was a lot harder than knife, 18 pistol kills in one round is real tuff.

I got my basic on warlord, neat trick, not "unethical" at all, but I'm saving it for clanmates that is if xXx takes me, all the k+p servers i see listed are all 3 digit pings anyway so I stay clear for lag


btw, are the pistols all basically the same? or are some more lethal than others, I can find rifle stats all over the place but hardly anything on pistols
