I've gotten my badges - and I've got over 20K in points - and I've got to wonder why I don't have gunnery sergeant

BTW - do you get an unlock on that as well?

or do I have to go to 50K or whatever crazy number it is to get that last one?

As I can see, you're past Gunnery Sergeant and you should have the rank of First sergeant.

Did you have all your badges BEFORE you met the points requirements? otherwise you wont be promoted to First Sergeant.

You do for first sergeant and sergeant major and if you dont get them before you reach the points requirements you are stuck at the lower rank until you reach the next rank (50,000 Points).
