BF2S Forums DAO-12 or Jackhammer!?!

I prefer the Jackhammer... More kick... Then again I prefer the pump action shotties... Have a look on the net for the weapons test mod for BF2 singleplayer... Test them for yourself...

The pumpshottie or the SMG...That's more of the question.

In my personal experience, I've found the DAO to be a pile of crap so if it was up to me, I'd go the Jackhammer.

Although I did go 29-8 on Iron Gater with the M11..

While the Jackhammer is the bigger upgrade over what it replaces (the pumps) you will spend most of your time in a vehicle as an engineer so go for the Dao first.  You will use it more.

     What I did was get the DAO.  I hated the MP5.  The pistol was better at shooting people at a distance than that crappy thing, and I was always in some close quarter combat and got rocked because it didn't do enough damage quick enough.  As for the ENG the stock weapons do quite well enough to wait to get the Jackhammer for little while.

   ENG repairs stuff and rocks in tanks.  AT defends themselves and shoots tanks.  I ask you; who would benefit a better shotgun?

     I would also ask you to not discount the usefulness of the G36C.  I have more kills with that thing than any other gun.  The open sights are awesome, reloads fast, shoots even faster and it is good close up as well as far away.

     As for the PKM there is a huge difference between it and the other LMG's.  It shoots through fences, it drops people in 5 shots, it is as accurate as the G3 if you fire in single shots and you NEVER RUN OUT OF AMMO!  Go prone and start to PWN. Do consider getting it.

Jackhammer!!!!!

i used to use shottie's all the time, but it was always like this:

I rush round a corner and confront a couple of guys. i unload the shottie and kill 1 maybe two if im lucky, then i get killed by the survivor (if there was any). 9 times out of ten there was.

i now use sub machin guns 100% , sooo much more accurate and the p90............

u can fire that biatch so fast u just aim for the head and sqeeeeeeeze!

i think jackhamer bc enginer shotgun is weak and while anti tank u got mp5 or pps which is better then dao

I suggest getting the DAO-12, but that is because I feel the SMG's are too weak and inaccurate.  While the DAO-12 and the Jackhammer are not very different, the Jackhammer is more similar to the default weapons.  By getting the DAO-12 you give the AT kit a much different weapon, and one that performs very well in close combat.  Also, while you can reload the DAO-12 one shot at a time, you can't fire until it is fully loaded so you have to wait for all twelve shells to load.  Still, it's nice because you can top off it you've only fired 4 rounds and you don't lose ammo by reloading half-full clips.  The Jackhammer is nice to have, especially if you find the pump shotguns too difficult to use.  The main caveat with it is the recoil.  Shooting it at full auto is incredibly pointless unless the enemy is less than about 20 ft from you.  I tend to use the Jackhammer much like the DAO-12 because of this.
