When playing Bf2 i sometimes wonder why is there no blood? I think Blood would make the game more realistic and playable. What do you think?

Think EA decided to not have blood in the game since they then may have got a 18years+ game instead of 16+.

I dont' care. I play for the gameplay, not the graphics. maybe if the "dust" puff were red, that would be ok, but flowing gushing blood is unnecessary for this kind of game.
No. This game has enough violence with out blood.
The effects of blood spraying every would be cool, but some video cards couldn't handle the additional load on them.

When I was 12 i used to play Postal 2 (thats not even rated, i think it was illegal in some states in the US) and i'm no maniac now

IDK it may be different in the rest of the world but does anyone EVER and i mean EVER pay attention to game ratings?? There's nothing consistent about ratings and they mean nothing. Back on topic I don't see a need for blood, but then again if there was blood (and it didn't effect the performance if the game) i wouldn't care either.

Definatly, it would bring a whole new era to the game tactical wise.. as you could see the blood on the wall and see whihc way he got shot from

yea, blood would be sweet, i used to love on sof2 where u got bucket fulls of blood and u could shoot the limbs off. it wouldnt change gameplay in anyway, would just be cool, but then like ppl say, this engine is a system hog enough as it is without adding stuff like that, but if u had the option to turn blood on/off , yea definetely. come to think of it alot of my favourite fps have blood, cs:source, love watching blood smeered up the walls after u kill someone combind with the rag doll stuff, ut2004 has gibs a plenty, quake 3 when u explode someone into a big blood filled mess, another game, not fps, but one of my favourites, is on gta when u shoot the head off someone and it spurts blood, cool effect that. yea, it would be good if it had it, its always a fun novelty and wouldnt do any harm
i once downlaoded a blood patch for bf2 and it actually worked on some severs....looked really kool, especially when you are a sniper and headshot someone...i mean WWWWOOOOOAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

good blood effects are UNFAIR, unfair for people who dont have a good video card, who already take 5 minits to load, SIMPLE blood effects are already in PRMM, and its nice to see, sort of changed dust effect.
They could make the freakin dust blood if they werent so fucking lazy as hell.
Australian Forces mod does this perfectly... He tweaked the effect to make the clouds slightly bigger than normal and a dark, bloody red... Works like a charm.LockerFish wrote:

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
In BF1942 it was all pretty standard,everything which wasn't obvious cheating(so no aimbot) was allowed,you could have custom skins + level textures,custom crosshairs and of course some nice blood effects...
Now all these enhancements are not possible anymore,pb would interprete it as a cheat,no matter whether it is one or not.
And who really cares about some red spots in a game endangering the sanity of some kids?They get to see the real horrors of life every day on CNN anyway,but that's a whole different topic.
If there were a way to have blood effects without punkbuster complaining I definitely would use them.
And just like the guys above my post said,nothing fancy,just the grey puff made into a red puff.
