I use VirtualDub(free for download http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ ) for reencoding from fraps codec to divx and then the Windows movie maker (which comes with windows) for editing.Just check out my first video in the chatter section, this was done in 20 minutes.
It's really easy.

Another question...I just downloaded the full version of fraps, and the files always this big?
I recorded for about 2 and a ahlf minutes and the avi was 1.2 gigs big!
How do I make it smaller?

Fraps creats the AVI uncompressed as it cannot procces the compression live as this would just cripple your CPU what with BF2 running also

Video uses masses ammounts of storage when uncompressed at large resalutions.. think of it this way.. Fraps i think (not used before sorry) creats the AVI at 800x600 I assume the software is producing 30fps (frames per second) which means just for 1 minit of video thats 1800 frames for your 2.5 minits thats 4500 frames..

Movie maker is ok.. also its free..

However if your peer2peer'ing their are plenty of other alternatives that would give you alot more control and many more options.. including better encoding.

the mainstream major apps i would say would be Sony's Vegas Video, excellent and very easy to use.. also Adobe premiere is well used.. not to keen on this myself.

For somthing more cutdown but still offering that little more than the microsoft option. then Pinnacle Studio 10 would be a good start.. very basic and easy to use but offering alot more in the way of options than movie maker.

If your wanting to place your movies on the web, then your going to need to reduce the size.. So encode to normal AVI but reduce the output resalution and then convret that to somthing like DivX

Others will probley be able to advise better on this sorry.. i dont really do web video but the basics are still the same..

And remember if you are peer2peer then this is just a demo if you like.. remember to purchase the original if you like it!
