BF2S Forums School's out for Summer - Can't you tell?

First of all, sorry to say but I think the majority population that plays BF2  should be in the kid to teen range.  I dont think Bf2 was made for grown men to play together in the most mature and serious fashion???  Video games are generally made for the younger side of the population.  I don't think BF2 was made for the players of the highest age and highest levels of maturity to play.  Video games are supposed to sport some level of immaturity, and that is what makes them fun a lot.  I don't mind older people playing the game, but you have to realize that this game wasn't made for YOU and that younger people aren't as mature as you and just play for the fun of the game.  I still don't think they should do it, but don't complain so much and try to understand why they do this.  Did young kids go out and get these games to be complained about at over a game that is supposed to be fun over the internet?

Ah yes, game companies make "realistic" war games where you shoot or knife people for only kids.  I would assume that the target bracket is men 18-49, which is a big target, with interest, and money.  Most games are NOT made for younger kids, which is a very antiquated view such as cartoons are only for kids.  There are a lot of people in their 20s and 30s, the NES generation, who grew up playing games, and programmers realize this because they fit into that category.  I believe if you conducted a poll of the age of the gamers, the average age would be in the mid 20s.

Son, I am sorry but many of us are going to use you right here and now as a life lesson example to all the young kids out there.  You are the example of an asshat that we are trying to show our kids not to be.

You need to keep in mind that us grown up old adults were the original video game generation.  Video games exist today because when we were kids we saved up our allowances, mowed lawns, did extra chores, and generally begged for the money to buy the next latest video game.  We made it popular and most importantly PROFITABLE. There is a huge market today made up of 18 to dead people who have a lot more cash then someone in highschool and earlier.  Granted there are games that are totally geared for children. Then you have games that have a much more mature nature, like BF2, which was by no means developed with the young teen in mind as a target audience.

You have got to keep in mind that every aspect of BF2 costs money.  All the way down to keeping servers up that you get to play on for free.  These servers are primarily paid for by hardworking old people who like to get together and have fun generally in a clean and mature matter.  Don't assume that adults are the minority.
If that was indeed the case, BF2 would never have made it to PC and would have been solely released on the television platforms.

The vast majority of the time for myself, I could care less what age you are.  As long as you don't act like a smacktard and you play your best and have fun, everything is great.  I have seen adults twice my age act like a twelve year old over something insignificant.  But sadly I have seen quite a few children acting like children.  You are especially obvious because you try too hard to give the impression that you are an adult, which makes you look more like a child.  Its even more amusing when I hear a 14 year old, whose testicles have barely dropped, squeek to me over the voip trying to come up with very clever ways of cursing me out and threaten me. (for all of you who have not hit puberty yet and don't understand the testicle remark, well, someday you will)

Eagles1106, just have fun and don't be a smacktard on the servers.  Everyone just do that.  It makes the game better.

If you so concerned about all the kiddies playing battlefield 2, then try playing earlier in the morning. most Teens are still sleeping in cause its summer or to tired from staying up till 5 in the morning.
Also, Not all schools are out yet, My highschool has 1 more week, then exams. So this problem is only going to get worse. Watch out during July, this is when almost everyone is out for summer.

videogames are the most lucrative and popular form of modern entertainment, making more money than the film and music industries.  there's a whole generation of adults who were teens or younger in the 80s that grew up with videogames as a big source of entertainment. the reality is that for every videogame made for somebody between 8 and 13 there's one made for people between 18 to 30. it's totally inaccurate, in every way, to say that videogames aren't for older people.  the most loyal videogame consumers are older people; they have the disposable income and the manufacturers know this.

I have been personally cursed at over voip, cursed at over text, and vehicle whored more than ever this past week.  One kiddy today actually took the time to call me a noob over the text before he took off in the bomber that my partner and I were waiting for to spawn.  He took the time to do that just because he lucked out and got into it before I could.  I normally would have no problem with someone getting the jet over me.  Hey good for you, I will get out of the way and wait for it next time.  But this fool actually took about 30 seconds  (i'm not kidding) to keep the jet still and call me a noob because he got lucky.  He didn't feel so lucky after I stuck an ERYX up his anus before he could take off, and fortunately the admin saw what was happening and kicked him right away.  I know I shouldn't have lost my temper and tk'd the bugger, but that was just the final straw for me.

You can also tell by the whining, pissing and moaning on these forums. Too many kiddies that have bigger mouths than brains. Oh well. Let them think they are cool by cyber flaming and acting like they are two. The real world will correct that in due course.
