Glitch or Hack

I know that there have been issues of people's colors being funky. I ran into that last night majorly. Not only my, but my friend. Here is the scenerio.

1. The guys shows up as red, I shoot and kill. I then get punished for teamkill. So i look at the name on the scoreboard, he shows up on the other team. I thought, maybe just a small glitch. I am shooting again, and I happen to kill him. No TK punish. Ok I thought, just a small hiccup the first time. There I am sniping and he shows up, I kill him and the punished for a TK.

2. My friend killed him also and got punished, then he happens to kill him again and then gets kicked/banned to TK'ing.

Now since I look at all possiblities before I start saying stuff, but I am wondering what I am thinking is true.

Could there be a hack that lets you be on one team and show up as being on the other team so they think that you are on theirs so they will not shoot you? If it was just me that he was showing red, I would say it was a glitch, but when it was multiple people, minds start thinking.

That happened to me a couple of months ago. I was on TS with clan mates and i shot a guy which was read and got a punishment for it. I said in TS "I just got a TK punish, i didnt even TK anyone. I shot "this guy". A reply was, "yeah thats because he is on your team" "Errrm, no he isnt" another member agreed with me that he was an enemy and yet another member said he was also on my team. In the next round it was fine but I thought it was a problem which would of been fixed ages ago

Had that guy a Jihad prefix? Cause they cheat. I had that too. I c4'd his APC cuz it was red: Team vehicle damage. WTF..

Also that guy on the roof and the big jumps was a Jihad guy. ban that clan!

I have seen this issue too. A member of my team will have a red name over his head. I had verified him on the team roster to make sure. This does not happen very often but it does happen. It must be a glitch.

I can assure u 100% that this is A BUG in the program, and not a hack.

I have myself been red and TK'ed (happened once).

i just had a wierd thing happen, on karkand, in the gunners seat on a tank and i see a guy comming towards me shooting me and we are both mec, so i shoot him and get the points for it and no tk??

Once on Sharqi I was MEC and while i was tryin to cap a flag an USMC ran up and shot me a few times, but then stoped said "Sorry, My Bad." and ran off. So i killed him and finished capping the flag. lol

Well talking about gliches/hack, I played a server this morning where a guy TK'ed me about 5 times for a jet. Shooting out of the pilots seat with a sinper rifle etc, punished him each time of course. But I had -25 points that round and 5 deaths nothing else... I was actually doing it out of spite, shame on me I guess.

I also saw something interesting posted on a server.
--> Coloring your name green is an automatic ban.

I just wonder if there is something to this, It makes the most reasonable sence. Everyone see's you as green, enemy and team etc. If you choose Red or blue one side will try to kill you, green neither would.

Humm, wondering if I should have said that, waiting to observe the hack in action.

Erm... no... Friendly is always blue, enemy is always red. If you're US, US is blue. If you're MEC, MEC is blue.

Yeah... the red bug is real, and is a bug (though I won't garauntee that everything that looks like the red bug is the red bug, and not some hack).

I think in general it happens to one individual, with all other teammates seeing them as red, and I have a suspicion that it has to do with servers switching the player's team, but not everything happening properly. This bug is the cause of my only ban, and the only kick not involving making space for regulars (AFAIK, anyhow).

In general, if I spot the red bug, I apologise in the team chat, tell them they've got the red bug (the victim, not the killer is afflicted), and I disconnect... might not if they said, "Oh hell, I'm leaving here then"... but usually it's a noob going "Why is everyone TK'ing me??"... someone experienced with this will probably ask, "Was I red when you shot me?", and if they say yes, disco themselves.

Happened to me yesterday. TK punished for shooting a bloke next to an APC. He was definately on their side (as far as I could tell).

Err, right so if you have a hack that fixes your color to something, blue this would show blue to everyone. But I think this is probably more difficult than tricking the client into thinking your on everyones squad nor sure.

If you hacked the client you could trick it into simply a color change (perfect) or thinking your on the other team (not so good), since you have to also trick the points etc. Squad is pretty much a seperate thing, there is no squad kill.

I was just didn't understand why I got -25 for getting TK'ed, I'm sure I didn't TL him back more than 3 times. I would have had to average more than -8 points per... TK + Team damage + ...

I guess it's not worth killing people that kill you first for a jet. ALso I didn't notice any negatives with him when he killed me. I was probably on crack or something.
