I know a few here frequent EA UK OFFICIAL 64 servers. Are you finding these are crashing nightly, regulary or is it just happening to me?

It's doing my head in, for eg, you put up with 2 rounds of Cl Sweep and just before it ends and Sharqui starts "there is a problem with your connection" message pops up and APC's are travelling through the air.

I will probably make a new post about the same subject and put that in the "complaints" section but for now I just want to see how many are suffering through this aswell.

Nope, Gamearena & Internode servers crash every 2nd hour too, its to do with the 1.3 patch.

Nah not just you. EA messed every server up with 1.3. But the server i use dont crash that often now i find. Which is really good

lol 1.21 made it less crach and 1.3 even more then pre 1.21

I was getting the crash quite often, I think it's fixed now by manually updating PunkBuster from www.evenbalance.com

Download the setup and choose BF2, you'll probably find that it needs to do an update for the client. I was told that some of the 1.3 patches corrupt the PunkBuster upgrade...

I did mine last night and didn't have any crashes at all, night before I was crashing nearly every match, only managed to get about 3 rounds in before I got fed up of the crashes and gave up...

Not to burst anyones bubbles, but I think the poster is talking about SERVER CRASHES... NOT CTD (Crash To Desktop). Sure there are loads of fixes for CTD (I never had one after installing the full patch ontop of my incremental for instance), but from my experience, no the server crashes are NOT fixed yet. For some reason or other the forum mod closed the thread related to the info from EA/DICE about this issue, I'm guessing because their fix didn't work.
I'm just complaining because I haven't been able to get a decent hours worth of play on ANY 64 player server recently.
I hear people telling about server crashes every 5-7 hours... I get them about 1-2 times every HOUR. The most annoying thing is that when this happens, most of the time my scoring isn't even recorded, and half the time it will ofcourse be late round, so I feel like I'm even loosing more. Sure it's nice to play on a 16 player server once in a while, and yeah, I get in more armor and air time when I do.... But my SPM gets shot to **** when I do, and with my slow start the first 2-300 hours of play, I have a LOT of carching up to do, and these crashes doesnt help ONE TINY BIT.

the WORST part of it though is that I can't even revert to 1.22 and "have the problem fixed", because there are almost no 1.22 servers left anymore

AFAIK, there IS no fix to the server crashes. It happens everywhere, and the more players on the server the more frequent it seems to happen. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just bitching about this, I have no solution either.
