i was pretty good in AA, but i like bf2 more. i just dont get how im constantly killed with 1-2 bullets and it takes me half a clip to kill. i do partly blame my mouse, its too wide and lately it will just make my view shoot straight up to where im looking at the sky. baaaaa

Well americas army and BF2 are very different game styles/playing experiences/AA sucks. I'm not going to say this one takes more skill, it is just different. Most ppl have been playing this game for a long time and know how and where to shoot to kill you the fastest (head shot). It just takes some time. You'll get better as you play more.

you definitely need an optical mouse, if not a gaming mouse.  If you don't have an optical mouse, you're asking to get pounded.

also, you may not notice, but perhaps your Frames per Second may be just a wee bit choppy.  try turning down your graphics.  The smoother your screen, the easier it is to aim.

You also need to know what gun to use when.  Don't shoot shotguns long distances.  Don't shoot fully automatic long distances--shoot in bursts.  The only time you should empty an entire clip at someone is when you're 1-on-1 and you think you're going to die.  then just do what you can do.

I do most of my shooting from the prone or the crounching position because it keeps me more accurate.  Try that, it may help.

Also, try a different kit.  If you're AT, you're probably going to die a lot.  try being a medic.  The medic guns are the best in the game, in my opinion, and if you get badly wounded you can heal yourself.

Finally, the best advice I can give you is: find a decent squad and stay with them.  I play with my dad a lot, and he sucks horribly, but when he and I squad up his numbers go up drastically.

let me know how it goes.

I'd agree with the squad thing. I played in a squad of 4 very skilled players today, I'm not a great player but the rest of my squad were. The whole time I stuck with them I didn't die at all and had one of my best rounds.

G36 FTW !!
As said before:
aim for the head. Might be a bit tricky at the beginning but you'll get the hang of it after a few hours. You'll be a headshooting menace in no time! Switch to single fire mode for large distances. In the end it's all about training.
Good luck.
