1 belkin pre-n wireless router connected via lan to 1 pc
1 belkin pre-n wireless card in 2nd pc about 4 feet away 100% quality connection

i have 2 legitimate copies of bf2

They are setup correctly and and can see each other on network and share files

They both connect to the battleroom ok but as soon as they join a server the game glitches on both
pcs and 1 pc is disconnected and the other is then ok (not always the same pc)

When on uk server they have ping of 15-25, then 1 disconnects

i remember hearing in the past, that servers that detect two computers with the same ip address will kick for it... (im not entirely sure about that though)

I think it's to prevent statpadding.  For all they know, you could set up a dummy account on one computer and just use your normal account to kill the dummy over and over and over and over and over and you get the idea and over and over.

It might be the specific server. I've connected a couple of times with my brother's PC and this one at the same time to check viewing distances, bullet drop etc. And we've both played online at the same time, and with a friend, all of us on a LAN going through the same router.

I think it's the belkin. We have it in my house and it gives one computer perfect connection, and the rest a glitchy disconnecting/reconnecting experience.
