My name came about about 10 years ago whn i was in 8th grade. Several of my buddies were drinking and this girl came over and we ended up getting her drunk. Needless to say we all wanted to hook up with her.

I came up with the brillant idea that if I told her my cats died she would feel really bad for me me and I would be the one she would hook up with. My freinds thought it was so funny they left her alone with me while I tried to tell my sob story.

The attempt failed tremendously and I became famous for the my cats died pity story. When 1942 came along I could think of no better name. Thank god i have had better luck playing with it than trying to get play with it.

For my name, Read Heinlein.  The last name is made up, because "Lazarus Long" is often taken, and is a morph of something that was sitting on my computer desk when I first needed to create that name...  a maglight...  reverse the first and last letters, "taglighm", remove the funky letters that would be either silent, or very subtle, "Taglim"...  and I usually put an apostrophe in there, as it was first created for a Twi'lek character in Star Wars Galaxies... "Tag'lim".

...erm, I got mine after sitting in front of the 'nick' process for ages trying to think of a good name. I was also listening to the news and the Governement was talking about a blanketban on smoking in pubs, I'm just grateful it wasn't about piles or STDs

Well lets see. When I was in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University there is a tradition where the Juniors of my cadet company (C-2) give nicknames to the Freshman class. These nicknames are given in accordance to something that stands out about the Freshman. They are also quite drunk when giving these names so sometimes they either are crazy or don't make sense.  Now also Upperclassmen can also send Freshman on "Details" basically missions of either importance or simply playing a prank on their classmen. So this is where the Kilroy name comes in.

Eric Faulkner a Junior of mine at the time sent me to find Anthony Littman one of his buddies. So I looked about the dorm for him and found that he was taking a shit in the community bathroom. I went back to Eric and told him where Anthony was. Well Eric told me to go back and look over the stall and stare at him. Which may seem like a screwed up request but we do all kinds of fucked up things in the Corps of Cadets so this wasn't anything abnormal in the strange categories.

So I went back and stood in front of the door to the stall. Put my hands on the top of the door and slowly looked over. He was reading a newspaper when he suddenly realized that someone was staring at him from over the stall door. He looked at me with bewilderment and then said in a calm manner, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" which I replied back with, "Sir, Junior Detail, Sir!".  As Freshman you have to start and end any sentence with Sir.

So from his vantage point sitting on the toilet what he saw was the infamous Kilroy image. Also as a Freshman you don't have any hair or at least VERY little since its all mostly shaved off. Think Basic Training short hair.

Needless to say when it was time to give me a nickname several were blurted out. Keep in mind that I am also Half Japanese but I am rather large cuz my Dutch heritage makes me 6'3" tall.  So the nicknames had a slight Japanese feel to them. Kamakazi, Tojo, Rising Sun... When Littman finally said, "Kilroy". Well that seem to stick and so the Juniors gave me the nickname Kilroy.

Ever since them I have been using that nickname in one form or another on lists and in games. And well the 97 part comes form the fact that that was my year in College. Class of 97.

kilroy0097 was what wasn't taken in BF2. So that's what I used.

Cheers.
Bah, one of those!  Texas Tech Red Raider here.  I got a lot of friends and family that went to A&M, great school, in a little slump as far as football, but every school has them from time to time.  Funny story, though im still not sure how the jump was made from watching some guy take a shit to getting the name Kilroy?

My name, came from Counter Strike, a buddy of mine starting going by Blue Fox when he was CT, so I would go T and be Red Fox and we would knife each other relentlessly, kinda stuck since then.  RedFoxster was all that was available for BF and Bf2s.com

I was one of the creator/admins for a popular Freelancer gaming community called The Lance. Freelancer was one of the first online games I played because pre-ADSL it was the only game I'd found that still played OK on a MODEM. Some of my admin duties were to hunt down hackers and so I took the name BladeRunner. In the film BladeRunner, the BRs hunt down rogue androids. The name just made sense.....errr...

No fancy tale to tell...
Robin is my real name, and thus I had one nickname, basically from birth: Robin Hood.
Oh yeah, it didn't help that I practiced long-bow shooting for a year or so. I quit because I found it utterly boring. How can you not hit something with a perfectly balanced and adjusted bow?
The numbers are just as personal, as it is my birthday. Nice, but I'll bet that couples who didn't look at the calendar and had some fun in September, will find there kid born on the 6th of June, next year.
Now, they will have a tale to tell

So, mine is Inupiat for "little sister" and was the name of my favorite dog. Nuka was a really cool lab who was my buddy during my convalescence after I got clean during college. She was my hiking buddy and all-around awesome dog. She disappeared in a snowstorm in Anchorage in January and likely went swimming and died.

I've played as Nuka in memorium for years, including in both Diablos and such...

M90 is the swedish Camo-pattern, I'm a homeguard (Territorial Army) Medic, civilian RN, hence:

M90 (preferred clothing) + Medic (chosen profession) = M90Medic.

For some reason BF2 has decided to add Stavka in front of the name so ingame it's Stavka M90Medic. Which is annoying since Stavka is an online nick I use on another forum. The Stavka was the Soviet high command during ww2.

Well.... (since I want to get involved)
Jeckelcopy, Jeckel was a person i played with waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy back in the days of DC...and he would practicaly conquer any match he/she played on...
Since i used Jeckel in the demo, EA wouldn't let me use it in the full version...no matter how many ---, ===, +++ or ___, it wouldn't let me use it...

Things to do in Denver when you're dead. Turtle was the hitman that killed all the fuckups that botched the job they were paid to do.

I was also trying to think of a smurf name when I played Tribes and I happened to notice a wind up turtle in my room.

It's stuck for a few years tho.

I have always been curious what people's usernames on here and in the game mean.  Some names are self explanatory while some make you scratch your head.  For example:  TRODPINT - A secret CIA team of Afghans whose mission in 1998 was to track Bin Laden and "snatch" him in his bed at his wife's house.  I just want to see what some of your names mean.

Rainbow 6 - Rogue Spear 1998 playing on MSN Gaming Zone. Decided to go with the name Jester... not to long after became JeSTeR <---- Which I think looks really snazzy (Mathimatically balanced in all its majesty)

Then 90% of the things I sign up for that name is already taken...to be expected. Being a huge Nerd Fuck Gamer I added _Player1 to it. Everyone wants to be Player one... haha.

So anyway... I have been JeSTeR_Player1 for a VERY long time, and use it in almost everything I sign up for. If you Google it...I have no idea what would come up.
