Joined my favorite i3d.nl server, sharqui. I spawned as a USMC at the CP in the West, about 5 seconds after i spawned i was killed by the Mec chopper. Bad luck so i spawned again this time to get killed immediately by some sniper million miles away. WTF is this i thought. I spawned in the middle of the map thinking this time i maby survive and maby kill someone, i survived the spawn and went on a sniper hunt 1 min after i spawned the damn MEC chopper killed me again. ´Now i changed to MEC side as i thought the USMC was cursed. Spawned again this time as a medic. Jumped into a fav, droved to a wounded spec ops guy, and after i revived him he plants c4 on my fav, steals it and suicidebomb ME and of curse I got a TK for some strange reason and punished. 5 deaths 0 kills and -4.
The worst round ever. I hate this game!!!! (not)

Have this ever happend to you?

That happens to me about once a week. I usually end up hitting the escape key in anger. Time to find another server.

I also tried playing heavily intoxicated once...not a good idea. It was like that no matter what game I joined. (lol)

I amost had one of these moments last night.

There I was, in a panic. With only 500 points left before promotion, i discover that if I get the promotion before I get my pistol and knife combat badges, I'll be stuck until 50,000 points (nice one, EA BTW). Having made only about 18 kills with a knife in TOTAL so far, the thought of having to get 7 kills in one round was daunting.
I went on (I think Assasin - Clan's server), got out my pistol and went for it. On my first go i managed to get the pistol badge (the pistol suprised me with the fact that it's better than most of the other guns lol). Then the dreaded 'There is a Problem with your Connection' flashed up and I was out-of-there. Well deep down I knew I wouldn't now get my badge and I was gutted. I didn't get it.
OK...wipe away the tears and try again.
I went on another server and managed somehow to get BOTH my pistol and knife badge in the same round! This may not be that impressive but I consider it a personal achievement
...logged out of the game...checked that my stats were updated...nope...wait 15 minutes and try again...nope...I was about to use a welding torch to turn the Disc into a plant-pot when they appeared.

Close call for me and BF2

Nice one Bladerunner. I'm also still dreading getting those two badges. The clock is ticking and my points are getting aweful close to 20k. So I guess I should just start doing it.

any time i'm shooting and some tool jumps right in front of me so I get the TK (punished of course because as we established, this person was a tool), and then get shot up by the guy I was trying to kill...makes me wish I could reach through my connection and strangle the dumb bastard.

It was getting scary toward the end...I was in game hoping I wasn't annoying my squad with the fact I was trying to make as few points as possible....though, I make so few points I doubt they noticed

My advice would definately be a 64 player map with 32 or fewer players. This tends to make the rounds last a while.

I'll have to be honest here...the thought of EA's bug leaving me stranded for another 30,000 points tempted me to
ask someone to 'help' me. Thankfully I resisted...but If I'd got within 50 points of going up, the temptation would have got stronger

I reccon some people are going to be 'unfriendly' about your offer of 'help', but like I said in my previous post I totally understand. You have to play for ages to get the same rank and that doesn't seem very fair.

Can't say i had one of those days. But i do get annoyed easly since i'm getting losses these days and need a 3/1 win ratio (u find out what badge :p).

Usually easy when i play with my helo gunner, but hey. Other peeps don't always want to jump out. (so found a evil way to kill a gunner who doesn't wanna jump out, and keep helo >).

Btw, knife badge... hate it

i despise those moments when you're constantly killed no matter where you spawn. no, no during a 'base-rape', i mean in general: you just get the luck of spawning in four different places where there always *happens to be* someone/thing waiting. So you don't actually even get to play for like two minutes. That's one of the worst things about bf2 IMO: the spawning system. It should be a bit more like DoD or something, wherein its quite hard for the enemy to just pick off people spawning like the cheap stats whores they are, because the spawn points aren't just in the middle of the gaddamn battlefield.
What I mean is: of course its a legititmate tactic, as its in the game (not an "exploit" or whatever)- what I'm suggesting is that it would be a better/more fun/realistic game if it wasn't so easy to just pick off people that just *appear suddenly out of thin air ffs...

i played a game pissed with some friends

drove it into a river, killed us all. dont drink and drive!

oh, and dont drink and drive in real life either.
