personanally my favorite map is sharqi im not sure why i like flying the attack chopper but i hate being killed by it.... but i think the reason i like the map so mmuch is because it takes about 2 seconds to get into the action

32p Karkand FTW!
Mastuur is also a super map but it seems 60% of players on it is sniper
Sharqi can be fun but when that Mi-28 gets going ... well ... ive just been teamkilled by it so many times tanking because gunners dont realise that it is only for support (oops a rant came around)

Karkand 64, ground only. Sharqi is also great but I too hate being killed by the attack chopper.

Mashtuur- Hands down for strict infantry in vBF2, the two armors are not a distraction, and the two transports arent' threatening anymore. Karkand for the point whores and "easy" first flag owning, no skill involved. Sharqi for the the awesome scenery, but has the helos, with only a couple spots for the AA, but without the helos, this map would be the best for it is balanced otherwise.

Now if you want to go further in all expansions for best infantry maps. They are in order: Night Flight, Warlord, Mashtuur, Karkand, Harvest, Sharqi, Great Wall, Mass Destruction. For strict infantry, its Night Flight, there are no aircraft and no armor (one but no one uses it). And that map owns, Just wish they would make it a day map, or hell turn your gamma up and it is..

I found a handy way of getting behind MEC lines and knifing thier snipers

Sargex, have you noticed that the karkand node servers have been dying a bit and teh sharqi ones are coming alive? I think everyones had enough of it and it moving onto the next map to whore up.

Not really because i havn't been playing much lately (uni exams). Although i notice the karkand node servers crash like once every hour when i do play.
Is gamearena having similar problems?

Definitely sharqi, karkand gets pretty old after getting spawn raped by an APC for the 5th time.
As for mashtuur, you feel pretty weird knowing that about 3/4 of your opponents are snipers.
