Computer, Would go high ?

I would like to know if somebody has a system like that and could tell me, would it run BF2 all high on Res 1280x1024, the following system is a system I'm buying and should be at my possesion soon.

P4 3.0G Dual Core
ABIT AW8
2G DDR2 667Mhz ( 1G X 2 )
MSI X800XL 256 GDDR3

I wouldn't recommend getting a dual core processor for gaming. While they are nice they're more for multitasking. And hosetly I think to get the game to run well at high res you would need the tip top of the line and even then it would probably stutter with AA all the way up.

well, i have a p4 3.0 gig, 1gb of DDR, and an nvidia 6800. the game runs great with the graphics settings on as high as they'll go. i think youll be fine. Turtle is right about the processor, but i think you should be ok.

I'm getting this proccessor only because I got a huge discount on it and I can get it for about 170$ ( here very cheap )

you should be fine.

I have a AMD 3200+, Abit NF7-S, 1 GB RAM, ATI X800 XT PE, and BF2 runs on high settings, 2xAA, @1024x768

ahh..intel employee price? LoL..i got my P4 830 for about that price also.

For battlefield though, i would suggest getting a nvidia card. You can get a 6800 GT for under 250 and a 7800 for 300 and change.

If you insist on getting a ATI card u minus well get an all in wonder x800 so u can take advantage of the dual core with TV capture and video editing.

Actually the card is VIVO so I got this future although I don't really need it the video editing I do is usually from a digital camera through DV connection. also you're right it's an intel employee price, although nobody in my family works there but I do get a CPU and a mainboard through my fathers friend

Great ! thanks dude, I was hoping somebody with the exact same vid card would show up and tell me how it works on his PC.
