More community based competitions?

As far as i know the sniper competition last night was one of the first competitions the bf2s community has all come together and played on.
From what i heard everyone had a good night and had fun, so why not have more? it doesn't have to be sniper competitions, it can be anything, E.g Maybe a squad competition for the best squad? Or have races?

As long as it is organised it would be a good time for all.

DEFINTELY, the sniper comp was a really good idea, i think we should do like something like a friend clan match. people organise teams to play and we have matches. the team can be made up of friends or just random people in the bf2 community.

True, i enjoyed the competition, needs to be more organized if done again though... As would any others setup, Races would be fun i imagine as would be a Pilot Competition for both planes and Choppers, could have a battle from between transport Choppers or vehicles, squad v squad would show peoples teamwork capability. so yeah i would like to see more BF2s organized events.

Ideas:

Jet competition (as stated above)
solo choppers (one on one)
Team choppers (two vs. two.)
Infantry battle (Deatmatch mod? teams of five = who gets the most kills/highest K: D?)
Tank-off (one on one, no teammate engineer/AT helping)

haha yeah two commanders have to crush as many players with supply crates in a certain amount of time. Like 10 people either side in a pit or on a roof not fighting but just acting as targets

Yeah sure, we'll happily organise this stuff. As has been said we have tons of spare server capacity and it's this kinda community shit that I'm all about (hence my shitty stats).

I could do with a support team cos just this rushed event has left me with a load of work (not that I mind) so to make them really regular I would need help.

The sort of thing I really need help with is modding.
Last night proved that we just can't do this on ranked or unmodified unranked servers.
We need to plan out what people want to play, then design how that is best achieved and then make the mod and maybe maps to support it.

We would like to maybe offer proper prizes too, nothing too fancy, I'm only thinking mouse-mats, t-shirts and mugs, that kinda crap but something real that the winner can have to keep.

This looks like it might grow and grow... ...wonder if there's any chance of a forum section...
