I play for fun and not to get some emedals for an internet game that won't matter in a year or so.

I do love stats in general tho. Generally, i just love useless information

I played 1942 for 8 months straight and I didnt care one bit that there were no unlocks or awards or shit.  I just got points, I made kills, and I enjoyed the game.  Awards kinda ruin the game experience cause it drives people to stupid lengths just to prove they can get an award that anyone can get.  I loved 1942 and if all the servers hadnt disappeared (RIP RB server ) then I would play it every now and then.  But now I just shoot people, and they give me numbers.

I think that ranking system is what keeps the people in game, after all those stupid patches. I bet you'd stop playing most of other games, be they screwed up with the patches the way BF2 is.

when i bought BF2 i had no idea there is any rankin system, or awards+unlocks. I just known that is great game with huge maps, shiny graphics and plenty of ground,air,water vehicles. First time I thought: WOW, ranks, badges hmmm nice gotta get them all . In these days iam changing my mind and i think that ranking system is more big - than +. I didnt play BF1942 but everybody who played it, are tellin me that it was much more funnier. apologee for my english )

I think no stats would be better. No padders, less vehicle-whores, and no people going "I'm l33t I have t3h higher rankz than j00".
