I dunno how many people have considered doing this but is there a way for people in Bf2, specifically clanners to engage in outside actions of comraderie outside their own? What exactly am I talking about? I'm not sure if the term is exactly correct for this but I always called them as 'bulldogs'. You might call them mercenaries but they're basically temporary loyals to a certain cause just for the simple act of 'just because' or some other purpose to their own device.

Do clans ever do that? Temporarily take service of someone they could use their advantage for a certain amount of time if a certain number of their clanmates can't make up for a certain thing or am I just speaking outside of myself? I'm asking this because I don't like the idea of a clan yet I'm always up for the eager tendency for team-based play rather than running around solo expecting to think I can take everyone on. I'm more likely wanting to stay and sit at a flag defending it rather than taking one unless the tickets are dropping on our side.

I also bring this up because I've been asked to join certain clans time and time again but I always brushed them off thinking they were just clans starting up and needed their numbers to grow, yet like I've mentioned again I couldn't bring myself to that kind of dedication because of personal situations that would ultimately aggravate them and I would only be available at certain times... plus I play the game to play it but again, would rather have it team-based. It's a conundrum but I'll just bring it all back to where I started.

Would any clans out there be willing to take freelance/mercenary/'bulldogs'? Or is that too much of a hassle to have such spontaneity in their own organization? And I mean this in all seriousness because I'm not the most likely guy to go turning on my allies and go TK them or whatever.

Well there can be a certain amount of impromptu cooperation between a bunch of clan members (say 5 in a squad) and the lucky guy who joins as the sixth member. Prior to 1.3 I'd often pop into a squad like this, if it were not locked, and they were advancing on a distant flag position or in the process of capping to provide support and help defend it later with my claymores. But other than this (where quite honestly you'll sometimes be kicked from the squad first chance they get) I've never really heard of actual freelance players joining in with a clan but I'm sure it must happen with friends.

Hmmm probably right there, I'm just saying, there are those who are willing to work in a team whether they know it or not, I'm stating it right now, I'm one of those people. I've run into every kind of clan out there, from exploiters, to true team-based squad types, I've seen it all and know how to deal with every single one of these threats when they come in sights of my crosshairs. With that in mind, I can say I've indirectly become a veteran at tactics to all kinds in BF2 and can display that versatility to a key and prove I can be a worthy addition to a squad.

I also have witnesses to this kind of teamplay and who can say "He's right, Aardcore can lay it down when the occassion rises." And that is in no way boasting or gloating, I've just come across it and rather than whine about it, I've adapted and overcame, now occassionally get vote kicks initated on me just because I've deviated a clan's comfortable style of playing due to the fact I know how to deal with them now.

So if any clans out there are willing to accompany me into their ranks as 'bulldog' then by all means hit me up and see if I can fit into your rankings, that is, if my stats and rank apply to their need.
