Man... 1.3 has gone insane. The ability to drop vehicles is EASILY abused. So, I started becoming commander more, especially on maps with helos.
I laughed so hard I about crapped myself today. Id watch as a guy patiently waited for a helo, and then as soon as he got in, I'd drop a Humvee on the helo! It was SO FUNNY watching him try to fly with a Humvee on top of his helo. About 30% of the time pilots will flat out crash, a few times they will blow up, and everytime its a riot.
The funniest part is watching the same guy you've done this to a few times. After two or three times, he'll start to get the idea and he'll get in, and then immediately get out to try to make you drop the vehicle too quickly. Even then sometimes you will still destroy the helo. He'll probably call you names on the chat but who cares. Thats all he can do on most servers as that isn't against the rules in most places.
Basically, I admit it, its cheesy as hell and I shouldn't be able to do it. However, it is by far the funniest thing I have EVER seen in a video game. I can just imagine some guy getting in a helo and being like, WTF A FKING JEEP CAME OUT OF THE SKY AND BLEW ME UP??? I know I am probably ruining some poor guy's day, but thats probably most of the fun of it. Its even more hilarious if you can time it right with someone taking off in a jet... oh man that would SERIOUSLY piss me off if that happened to me.
I recommend everyone try it before EA wises up with the next update. EA needs to make it so vehicles are only available on request. Until then, I will create uproar by doing this as much as I can (kinda a self serving view eh?).

Douche? I still do my cmdr duties. I still UAV, spot, supplies, arty on strategic points. This game is all about fun right? Well at least for me.

Oh, and I've only dropped a vehicle on a person once, I do it mostly on helos because thats the funniest. MOST of the times the helos still take off. Its just funny as hell.

COHAMMER!!! I killed you today!!! I thought I recognized your name!! You tried to steal our plane on Midnight sun and I waited until you got in and fired an AT rocket at the plane! I even got a screenshot of it! I don't know how to put screen shots up here though.

no, hes dropping it on helos when they take off, not on lone snipers etc.

oh and for the jets (probably shouldn't say this) just place the vehichle right in fron of where the jet spawns to block it

I think EA is retarded for thinking of the idea of a vehicle drop... maybe if it was only available on request, but it would still be abused...

I'm not saying you're a bad commander, just saying you're a douche commander (dropping vehicles on planes and helos). I hate when commanders do it. I find those commanders on the map and give them a nice stab in the back when I do.

lol before 1.3 i was just laying prone waiting for a medic to come. So i get revived and my commander drops a supply crate on me. IT FRIKIN SQUISHES ME!!! I was like WTF??? NOOB HaxZoR!!! Then this medic kept trying to revive me even though i was dead beyond revive So yeah, thats my story for today. Now...run along children

Im not entirley sure how I would "blow out of nowhere" in a jet or helo. Like appear in a jet or helo on a gust of wind from nothingness in the middle of the map. I guess that would be less funny than freaking cool...er, confusing.

I hope that new life advice you're taking helps dispell rage attacks from your exploding imaginary helicopters or jets that will hurt your stats and make it harder to get imaginary awards on some game on the aforementioned internet.

I was just hoping a sense of humor could help prevent you bringing down your karma rage justice on someone who was just telling a funny story.

Being a commander and pawning ppl with vehicles can be extremely funny. When I wait for artillery/UAV/scan to reload I amuse myself by dropping excess vehicles on enemy artillery. Sometimes you can actually see the expression on the poor player on the ground repairing them, when he's done with one and has run halfway to the next one I drop a car on the one he repaired. Then he stops and turns around when he realises that the arty blew up again, haha.

It's an gay exploit, but it's so damn funny. Cars should be made to either request only or they should drift as supply boxes. But pawning with drop cars is actually the times I've laughed the hardest at BF2, gonna enjoy it while it lasts and as long as it doesn't violate the server rulez...

Because I dont like getting blown up by random vehicles dropping from the sky means I have no life?

I dont think the vehicle dropping in itself is bad, but I think that EA and Dice should restrict the dropping space, so that you cant drop vehicles in and around uncappeble bases anymore.
Or as MrBrain said, cars only on request

heeh , ive become an expert now dropping vehicles on flying choppers , especially on sharqi
and not just when taking off , since the skilled pilots seem to not crash when you drop a vehicle on their chopper , but when you do it sky high...priceless

i noticed that on the map "mass destruction" on SF, you cna drop quads on hinds na d it blows them up instantly as they are taking off. i had some good fun with a clan mate... so stupid....

I've blown a few enemy tanks up with vehicle drops. And I love squashing guys waiting for a jet or heli, that uurgh sound, so funny. Also once I dropped one as an f35 was taking off, blew it straight away. It's quite stupid but fun to mess around with, very annoying to be on the receiving end though.

But by far the funniest thing ive seen about the vehicle drop is in SF, They drop vehicles on the castle roof, Its pretty lame but it works.

I aint gonna lie now when i command i look for the lone sniper. I hit this guy 3 times in a row.. in the same damn spot at that.. you know the sniper spot near hotel on sharqi accross from the aa gun... good times.. i laughed my ass off every time..
