Alright, im gonna start this topic, to avoid being called a team switching ass later on. Im on a mission to get the WCR, i was averaging a win/loss ratio of 1.33 when I started, now im up to 2.17 and still going, ive brought my win margin down to 370 from about 610 in a little over a month and ill have the commander time completed this week. I dont team switch and I play strictly EA US OFFICIAL servers. You can look at my stats, I dont play favorites on a any map, though I do really like Kubra dam and play a more often than most, usually its the map a start my rotation on. Im a chopper whore, so naturally I prefer US to MEC because the Cobra PWNS and the Z-10 is about the same as the cobra. I dont camp spawns, I dont snipe wins off servers, and I dont compalin about how hard the WCR is to get anymore, because I have come to realize it is possible, it jsut takes work. So there, Ill update this every few weeks as I get closer to it.
Yeah, but I never had a W/L higher than 1.20, and now when it's 1.08 it would be hell to get it even with hard work.
Much more reasonable requirement would be that the 3:1 W/L would be from ROUNDS AS COMMANDER. I would have the W/L that way already
And soon the time.

Good luck dude
i think the only way id get one is to get out mums overlocker and sew me up one...
i beleave thats the only award / ribbon the padders cant get ..LOL
as for myself ' ive been working on that as well but , ( 1.40 ) currently .
VERY elusive that ribbon is !

It's my last ribbon as well. Redfox, please do update us on your progress and share any tips you discover. Thanks.
Thats a real difficult task, and I wish you luck. The problem is it really depends on who is on the server with you, and if it's a bunch of muppets, one loss takes three as much work to get back.
I currently have a W:L ratio of 1.17, so it will be a while until I get that bad boy. Mucho kudos if you manage it

good luck to it and youll get it if you really try for it
You didn't teamswitch at all to get it?Raxor wrote:

There's really only two ways to get it.MatRx9 wrote:

1. Play like there's no tomorrow and hope your team is good enough to win 3 out of every 4 matches
or
2. Teamswitch at the end of rounds where you're losing.
i gotta a 2.63 w/l ratio . only 20 hrs of comandin to go
Im happy with mine being over 1.50 and I don't care to get 3.00 W/L because the Way I see it is that Its 100% Bullshit as The Awards are saposed to be For Individual Acheivment, and If I get Gold in a Round and Our Team Loses...what does that Say... EA You Half Assed It Again.
I have all the required stuff now except W:L. It's at 2.31 so I figure another week or two and its mine.
Well, I will likely never get this ribbon or the Legion of Merit Ribbon. I have 345 wins and 363 losses. I haven't even really tried for the WCR and until now I didn't realize you could only have a 'worst death streak' of 8 for the Legion. I have a worst of 15 unfortunately. I could start a new guy and just go for all these over again, it would be pretty easy now that I've played a while, but I'd really rather not. It's a mild tick off though and knowing me it might just tick me off enough to start up a new guy. Who knows.
i teamswitched some of the time about 5 or 10 percent, most of the time i never really needed to as my squad i play with kicks some ass most of the time
You have to have AT LEAST 8 death streak. It can be more. You are still eligable for the ribbon.Heffty wrote:

yeahhh haha read! at least! makes sure you died honorably.
Confirmed. I just got it last night and mine is worse than 8 also. Just bad wording on the part of EA.Cougar wrote:

Exactly what I'm doing right now. If I have all my guys on the same team, I usually don't even have to worry about losing. But I will team switch when our team's tickets get down to less than 3. I don't see the harm in it as the team is doomed anyways and when the next round starts I usually try and switch back. So I'm doing all I can for the team I'm supposed to be on.Raxor wrote:

Still, I'm far off from it. I gained around 1.0 since I started working on it, but I'm only slightly past 2.0 right now. I wish I would've known about the requirements earlier and worked for it then.
Mine was around 1.1 or something before I started jet whoring. I don't know when/if it'll ever get to three.
Mines a horrid .92-.94. I have yet to break .94 . . .
Ha. thats nothing. I'm struggling to break .88-.89jnick wrote:

I think the requirement for this ribbon should be changed to 500 commander wins instead of the W:L ratio. That would make it absolutely fair.
Heres my tag BTW. And I created this account just for this dumb ribbon.

The problem, as I see it, is that many of us are so far in a hole that to dig ourselves out is a monumental task. If you have a low ratio, then you have to have a VERY HIGH ratio to start making progress. Having a 3:1 ratio from now on will never get you the ribbon. For those of you who are serious about this, I have devised a little formula. You just need to provide 1) your current wins, 2) your current losses and 3) the ratio you PLAN to get from now on. With those numbers you can determine the number of rounds you must play in order to get to a global 3:1 ratio.
For example in my situation, I currently have a 1.23 ratio. There is no real way to know what it will take to get to a 3.0 ratio without knowing how many rounds I've played. So,...
W: 390 (Wins)
L: 317 (Losses)
R: 5.0 (ratio for future rounds)
Here is the formula:
3 + (3L - W)(R+1)
= -------------------------
R-3
So, assuming I will get a 5:1 ratio from here on out, I need to play 1,685 rounds to get to a 3:1 ratio!!! Hell, I've only played 707 rounds so far. So, if you've played a significant number of rounds, the hole you have dug for yourself is nearly insurmountable. Even if I get a 10:1 ratio from here on out, I would still have to play 882 rounds.
