Connection Help

Now, I'm no genius when it comes to computers so bare with me....
Theres 2 comps in my house, one downstairs and the one im on right now.
The one downstairs(with bf2 on it), has its linksys wireless connection not connected....and both comps are on same network and everything and this comp im on is connected. On the one downstairs, ive clicked repair, ive reconnected it, ive ripped the plug and plugged it back in, retarted my comp, shut down my comp and let it sit for an hour or so, and yet this connection is still not working and im sure everything is the way it needs to be, any help?
Plus, theres like no way that the network is down or anything because this computer is fine and the other one isn't....

Does it work at all? Because I used wireless on this computer, with the other one being the host, and i had connection problems every minute or two. I finally got mad and hooked up to the internet with a long, blue cable.

The one downstairs is totally not working, the host for the house is in that room, but yet this computer im on is fine...
Like you know the little wirelesss icon on the bottom right hand corner with the little computer and waves coming out of it? Well, its status is not connected and has the red X over it(on the one downstairs..)

Don't know why one comp would be down and not the other if theyre both on the same network..

Is your router password protected? Is there a firewall on the one downstairs?

No password, and the there is a firewall on my downstairs computer but the Wireless connection has always been one of those exceptions and shouldnt be blocked....

no offense, but I would blow it up(ur comp) with some c4, drove over a tank and continue hitting with wrench until it wakes up and starts working!
seriously- don't know. call some experts or company who did it to you. good luck.

Its usually always working, here and there this problem has occured but usually restarting my comp works, but not today...

its funny too, this computer im on is the shittiest one ever(cant even support cs:source<-LOL!) and kinda ironic that i wanted to play bf2 today yet this computer is the only one that works in the house but it cant support bf2
But the one downstairs is usually always working. This problem has occured before but usually restarting my comp makes it work but I guess thats not the case today..

Try going to you network connections and checking that the box is checked that says "use widows for my network connections".
Just incase you don't know
Right click on your connection click status then properties then wireless networks tab

Off topic but ive been playing around with a magnet on this computer screen(i know it messes the moniter up but i dont care because this is the shitty comp) and it is very amusing the change colors and stuff

I dont even see a box to check anywhere and to note, on my downstairs comp when I click view availabe wireless networks a list doesnt even come up (which it obviously should) and the one up here lists four networks, im on the first one which is Linksys but the downstairs comp doesnt even list any...

Is the icon with the little computer showing in the task bar? if it is right click on that and click status ect..

ummm ok status isnt on the icon downstairs prolly becuase of the fact that its not connected, I found something out on my own though ill brb i might be able to fix it

These things are a bastard to fix unless your sitting in front of the computer.Try and get someone you know who knows about networks to have a look
