Hi Ladies/Gents

This might kinda sound stupid, but I was reading UBAR to find info on how to get a specific badge. Its all great BUT some times I can't seem to make out the Abbreviation or where to find the gun/objective. let me exaplain:

I was looking at the Ground Defense Ribbon. It says:-
IAR: 3 minutes in TOW/Mounted Machine Gun
IAR: 5 kills in TOW/Mounted Machine Gun

Ok so thats 3 mins in a TOW/Mounted Machine gun (In A Round). After some google's I found out what I needed to know. So what I really wanted to knw is (boy i'm repeating myself lol): are there any resources out there that exaplain all this info IE where to find a TOW/SAM,AA etc, what it looks like (I never knew what it was till I found a pic of it lol) Thanks.

ground defense is any mounted stationary gun. this includes missiles and machine guns. anti-aa missiles are not included since that would be air defense and not ground defense. i doubt theres any site that says where each gun is, since there are a ton on each map. off the top of my head, i can think of 16 on strike at karkand. i'm sure youve seen them before.

There's some work in progress on this site to get maps that include locations of all assets.

Other than that, just look for the black indicators on your mini-map.

That's a good question, I'm sure there is more info somewhere but if you play the game enough you know what the names of the weapons are. TOW and HJ-8 are ground defense, stinger and igla are anti air. Aside from that I don't think you need to know any other names for badges, so... there.

I was refering to B.Schuss's efforts. He said vehicles, but I thought I remembered him saying locations of other things as well.

And as B.Schuss is a mod, I assumed he would be operating in some official capacity with the site.

Nice explanation ThomasMorgan. and yeah Ive seen them before Stricke at Karkand is my fav map

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I do play the game alot, but I dont see how this will help me learn names of weapons. IF you are talking about the kits yeah thats easy because there is a name there for you, but mounted weapons don't have any labels on them saying what they are hehe....
