So I've been on BF2 withdrawl for the past 2 months since I don't have internet where I'm living over the summer. It sucks. But anyway...

...Quick question for anyone that might have an answer. I have a monitor that can do 1920x1200 resolution and I was wondering what is the "least" card I can buy that would be able to drive BF2 at that res. (or 1600x1200, same deal) with 40+ fps and the works (AA, AF, High Detail etc). I've been researching the cards that are out right now but I am so lost with all the freaking options available. Everytime I need a new video card it's like having to learn quantum physics in less than 1 week and I am not up to the task this time around; my brain is fried.

A Hallmark card would work nicely.

It would be easier if you gave us a budget to work with. What's the max you're willing to spend?

Doesn't really matter, I'm just looking for the cheapest card that could run BF2 at those settings. Like if I can get a card for 200-250 that will run that just fine instead of a 300 dollar one that maybe has a cool fan on it and gets a few frames more, I'd rather get cheaper one.

And no, Hallmark cards aren't PCI-x compatible you liar, I asked.

I got a Nvidea 256 mb 6800 came with my laptop but it runs at 1900 x 1200 at 100 fps

It's pretty difficult to choose the minimum that will run those settings, so I just picked a few good cards for between 200 and 300 USD.
