Problem - Modified Content Error
Cause - Your Battlefield 2 Files differ in some way than the servers
Fix - Few things to try and get this Fixed.
1. Move your Battlefield 2 folder from My Documents to your Desktop
2. Make sure you have the latest battlefield 2 patch installed
3. Try and update PunkBuster, to do so use the program, pbsetup, found at this website http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
4. Try re-downloading the latest patch from a different website and install it again, maybe several times tyring each time to see if it has worked.
5. Do a manual uninstall of battlefield 2, instructions on how to do this can be found here http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/ph … faqid=8986
Then reinstall Battlefield 2 and apply the latest Full Patch.
6. You could have faulty RAM, try running a program called Memtest86 to test your ram for errors. Also try removing a stick of RAM from the machine to see if it helps running on just 1 stick of RAM.
Peace Boris

Solution,
You're installing stuff in the wrong order.
You've installed EF after you've patched so you haven't patched EF up to 1.3. That's why you are getting the "unmodified content error".
You should just be able to reapply the 1.3 patch and this should sort it out.

no, no i cant dl euro until after i dl the 1.3 patch when i try without 1.3 it says i need the latest patch first. ive already tried everything youve guys said but the punkbuster thing. if my ram was tyo blame why would everything else work but euro forces??
EF needs 1.2 (I think), not 1.3.
Install EF, download 1.3 patch from one of the mirror sites instead of EA Downloader and then install it again.
That will update EF to 1.3
Believe me on this, I had the same problem and this is how EA's support said to remedy it and it worked.
Do it, or don't, makes no difference to me. Mine's fine!

doesnt work. i dl the patch from bf2s now and.... same ol prob. do i have to completley delete bf2 again and download everything again?? if so in what order?
OKay, try uninstalling BF2.
Then install in this order
BF2
SF (if you have it)
EF (although it may tell you you need version 1.2x)
1.3 Patch
AF (if you have it)
This should work.

i am pretty sure you have said this now in three/four different threads.DoctorFruitloop wrote:

to all you dudes/dudets with BF2 probs......NEVER FEAR DOC IS HERE!!!!!
Had some similar probs, "unmodded content" errors etc. i was able to load up the map, but got the error when trying to join game. So uninstalled everything then was going to follow Doc's order of things ^up there^. I had to completely remove the down-loader from the register, as it was convinced i still had EF ready to play. D'oh (if anyone knows a better and easier way to do this please post it)
But as my EA down-loader is a temperamental sod of a program i got so frustrated loosing connection i full patched to 1.3 to get a game in and vent some anger.
Then it finally worked, so i ended up installing in this order and it worked. Note i had to re-patch 1.3.
BF2
1.3 full patch
EF
1.3 full patch
AF
##Edit## sorry it read like i still couldent play! re-worded it. I have no problems now, other than the usual CTD
