I did this up for another site and decided to give it a home here, I feel dirty posting amongst the scum(sorry to generalise, but that includes noobs) who post in the complaints section. Anyways:
Grrrr! I was hoping to get back to playing BF2, I thought I'd sorted my patch issues and blam! I don't even get the convenience of a CTD, my box just freezes now I'm thinking that Project Reality is sounding good, provided there's some servers out there. Maybe the rest of the BF2 community can be converted, especially thanks to 1.3 and other monstrosities. The only thing that can save BF2 is a revert to 1.22 and free goodies. BF2142 is out of the question until BF2 runs properly, perhaps they may rename the series to BDSM and people can enjoy the anguish that EA dishes out.
Screw that boycott rubish, convert now, it might just hurt EA enough to change their ways, and could well get competent independent programmers the support they need, with EA and Microsoft buying up all the game studios it's time to fight for those that remain, download EA games if you think they'll be any good, buy games by smaller companies.
They're beginning to lose money on BF2, if BF2192 flops it will be a serious wound.
