Team points are exactly that. Medics help their teammates by healing, support by resupplying, engineer by repairing, Spec Ops by removing enemy assets. AT and Assault don't help their teammates other than killing stuff, but that's your duty. It's all the kits' duty to kill. Assault is supposed to be front line. Being in front means you're the first to reach a flag. There's your team points.
The problem is that with the Assault classes short sprint, the medic is able to heal a guy, revive another guy, kill an enemy, shoot another for a kill assist off the Assault guy's kill, and STILL have a fighting chance to make it to the flag first. I usually play medic, I know, I've done it. Happens most often at the City Entrance flag on Sharqi and Square on Karkand for some reason.
Assault needs the full sprint or at least a 3/4 sprint and at the G3 should have 3 smoke nades, cause it's just worthless to have only one and it otherwise has 2/3 the ammo of all the other assault weapons.
Anyway, the class that needs the most help is AT, you have to hit a tank with 3 rockets to even get the kill damage assist against it, and that will on average take you 2 lives to do it. 2 deaths for 1 teamwork point, not much fun. Heck, you can't even use the AT missile to defend against being squished by a Humvee or Vodnik since they will take a hit to the front and keep on coming. I mean, that's just silly!
