I got sick of the loss of connection and have reinstalled and reverted to patch 1.22. There aren't a shitload of servers, but my connection has never been better. I was hitting pings as low as 24 the other night. Not to mention after the reinstall, I was loading maps a LOT faster..
My beer intake has increased due to lost connections.

yup my patience has just about evaporated for this game such is the state of it now since the NEW 1.3 SO CALLED PATCH will i ever get my next rank/......back to BLACK HAWK DOWN still plenty of problems there also .....uuuuuummmm i know CALL OF DUTY see ya all sometime ,unless of course they fix the FUCKING PATCH...!!!!

Happens to me in straferight all the time. The 64 player servers seem to dump a lot more.
Sometimes I can get two rounds in and other times in crashes repeatedly for hours at a time. This patch is a total fuck up ... and I do not whine
I've had nothing but that happen today.

I don't see what the big deal is with that, it isn't ranked or anything. Doesn't affect your score in the slightest, I just use it as a good dos around and warm up.FFLink13 wrote:

I do when I used to play on Wireless internet, but now I have DSL on an Ethernet line, lag seems to be gone and no connection problems so far.
In response to the topic starter: Yes.
In all honesty guys, I have had very few "Connection Problems" in my experience with BF2. Actually, its been less than a handful. 3-5 tops.
And this is God's truth now, Since 1.22, I have not had a single connection problem while in game, period.
Edit: And the only lag I experience is hardware lag, from me screwing with my settings on my GPU (its an ATI x300, I can't do much!).

I haven't played in a few days the patch is so retarded. Me waits for a new patch.
Well... My connection issues have always been bad. Considering the fact that we just realized that our internet cable has been exposed above ground for quite some time and it wasnt natural... they just didnt conceal it properly, so whenever it'd rain it'd REALLY effect us.
Patch really didnt do much to my system. Uninstalled, reinstalled, and now its kinda fine

all i can say is they better fix it and fix it soon.. otherwise they lost at least one customer for their next bf installment (i am sure a lot more than one).. they have already lost the one for their future booster packs and can't do anything to fix that, lets see if they manage to lose it for their next game too
you know what's REALLY ironic? The fact that more than half of the servers still using patch 1.22 are EA Official servers...

Yes and so have my kills. I also love the server browser and its vanishing favorites upon clicking refresh. Awesome. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the game and patches, updated PB, uninstalled/reinstalled video drivers. I'm running out of hair, as most of it is on the ground now..... Patch 1.3 is poop.
Even worse- i keep losing scores, entire rounds vanish on a dialy basis. :S

Yes I have. This is a good time for server crashing too. I think the server crashing, CTD, and connection crap is happening more frequently in SF than vanilla. I play a lot of SF and finally resolved to play reg. BF2 for a night or two. I ended up having an ok go at it. Only time I CTD was when I tried to join a game through xfire (which is sorta acceptable). But this is only a microcosm of what a terrific stink pile this patch has turned out to be.Krusty Krab wrote:
