Seems that way. Before today I had as many crashes as a normal person. Here's my bf2 log for today, the day I started crashing every server I went into.

1. Uninstalled BF2 (first thing i did with the game today)
2. Reinstalled with new CD key
3. Repatched with the full 1.3 patch
4. Went to 24/7 Sharqi 64 - Insomnia365...crashed the server
5. Went to ***16*** other servers that have ran perfectly for me and others before, and they crashed upon my pressing the 'Join game' button.

What the hell is going on? I know the patch caused some servers to crash more than often, but I could still finish a round more often than not. Now I can't even start one :\

my guess is EA is going to make us pay for v1.31, so they are turning the problem meter up a click everyday

I had the same problem and found the (temp) solution. Visit my thread http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=29764 and follow the instructions. I haven't had a crash when joining in 1.5 weeks! If something is not clear in the thread, ask it! Oh and let me know if it worked!

Ever since I dl'ed AF the ctd & connections issues have disappered?! Still have to play lots more to test but thats how it is for me currently, before I had a ratio of 50/50 crashing / playing.

I've tried everything now. I thought I was good...Had a couple sets of 4 rounds leading me to believe it wasn't me. Then I started crashing servers again out of the blue. I'm not too worried about it now as I'm leaving for 7 weeks, but it is rendering me from getting any final BF2 time in.
