BF2S Forums Special Forces shutdown

Normally if you try to join a server whliest in "Vanilla Mode", it will shut bf2 down then restart bf2 to switch to the SF mod, since it considers it as a mod. But i've never come across any CTD situations since the Humvee-TOW bug.

Unlike the booster packs, such as Euro Force and Armoured Fury, it doesn't shut it down and enter a new mod. I've always wondered why they didnt do that with SF, since it would fix some compatibility issues to start, and it may make SF play a little less frustrating when loading. Also, they could just implement what they did with EF and AF, and put "Buy SF" pop ups on when you try to join a SF server, but i guess it would force players to have the expansion to play on certain servers, which can't be a bad thing for EA/DICE :p.
