Eat beans. Use gas jets like they do on shuttles and the EVA suits?

And if you do things right, and carry 3 half bricks at all times, you can anchor it before firing =P

If your not, then clearly you're a noob who thinks that claymores are too scary and should have giant signs so that both sides can see them.

You also hate C4, Friendly fire mines and being pwned with a gun that has worse stats than yours and cost less unlocks.

Don't try too BS your way out of that one, have a nice shiny -1.      it'll make up for that one you wasted on me.
Err, another fine logical and coherent comment here.  Care to go for 3 in a row?  Looking at your stats I see you're probably another one who shouldn't be coaching others how to play.  Unimpressive.

Sounds like you 're one of those people who doesn't read a post properly before mouthing off.
If a random sniper is THROWING clays around the room in the hope of picking up a bunch of kills while a shitload of us are in the room, and they go off and kill us? Damn right I punish. It's called being greedy and/or retarded. 'Move and avoid them' I hear you say. With all those bodies lying around it's hard to tell which way the fucking claymore is facing. So I call BS on that point as there is a damn good reason to punish.

The next line has as much to do with the price of fish as comments regarding your sexual preferences regarding housepets. That's right, fuck all. Don't make shit up.

No karma for you yet, we'll see if you cry and give - karma, or actually respond with something not aimed to discredit someone you disagree with. No, I don't know the guy you attacked, I just feel you were being more of a cunt than you needed to be.
Did you somehow find 3 or 4 lines in his post that noone else can see. It honestly wouldn't change my response the slightest bit if you did know him.

I don't know how it works where-ever the hell you're from, but where I come from you don't dish shit out if you can't handle copping some. Let him speak for himself, you're not his mum - atleast not that I know of.

Anyway, now I realize how obnoxious it is to have a vehicle dropped on you.  I am an occasional sniper and I was having a fantastic game, obviously noticed by the enemy commander.  He made it his mission about half way through the round to drop vehicles on me for the rest of the game.  I think I got squashed 3 times.   Just completely uncool.
Maybe you should get off your fat ass and stop camping in one place the entire map. If you move occasionally it won't happen. Pay attention to your surroundings, not just whats in your scope. I haven't once been crushed by a vehicle since 1.3.

hmmm, coaching how to play....
Wow, now I'm typing stuff that I can't see.
Excellent, I'm glad to not be the moron who brings stats into it, now they're in...

Your stats indicate that you play for stats, not fun.
You stick to tanks and APCs because adjusting to a completely different vehicle will ruin your stats, and holds no guarantee of improving them. The same thing can be seen in your most played maps, Sharqi, Karkand and Mashtuur. I take it you're not a fan of night maps? Surprise surprise, someone has barely touched his knife, are you trying to preserve the blade? You failed to make first sergeant because of the fear you'd injure your K/D and SPM. And you won't make Sergeant Major because getting those aircraft badges invokes that same fear in you. Missing out on that Marksman Infantry Medal again due to your fear of drawing a blade.

I see that you'll do anything for those points, won't you? look at all those TKs and team vehicle damages, do you damage them so you can repair them?
Do I dare look at the graph to see little improvement from you, while my improvement is massive?

You're smoking some serious weed while comparing and analyzing stats.

That nice .62 weapon k/d of yours is downright awesome.  Shows your extreme compentence on foot.  And your overall k/d of .71 makes me shake in my boots.  It's always a matter of pride to be killed more often than you kill.  If I may be so bold, the mediocrity oozing out of your stats is like a fine stink wafting from a sewer drain.  To think you've taken 358 hours to get this far just boggles my mind.  So if I take your "criticisms" with a grain of salt, you'll have to forgive me.

But back on topic, to the fellow who proposed sniping from underneath a propped up dropped vehicle -- nice idea but eventually the unused vehicle will go blooey and take you out with it, or at least give you a big bruise.

Man, I almost forgot!  So you've taken the last 4 months to get your k/d from .62 to .71.  And back in your early days when almost everyone is a weak little babe  -- I don't know how to put this politely so I apologize -- you really really sucked worse than average.  I'd be waving that flag for everyone to see too!

"Massive" - that's a good laugh.

Hmm. Nope. Saw nothing more than you did. The only way you'd class his original post as 'dishing shit' is if it made you realise exactly how stupid what you wrote was in the first place. If that wasn't the case, him stating that it was one of the 'wiser comments' and then giving a further example for your perusal, could only have been taken as a compliment to your wit, as well as seeking the approval of such a smart person.

Back to your original statement though, regarding anyone dumb enough to be hit by a vehicle deserving it... I can only say that anyone dumb enough to be looking up regularly enough to miss a vehicle landing on them at all (even via walking into an enemy drop while moving to a flag as opposed to stationary) deserves to be run down by the quad, the lav, the APC or the tank, they also deserve to be shot repeatedly, stumble over claymores, fall off buildings, and fall foul of any other hazard in their locale.

As for how it works where I come from, if you talk shit publicly, you do so in the knowledge, and expectation that what you say is there for EVERYONE to pass judgement on. You don't want anyone saying 'hey, you were a bit of a cunt to XYZ'? Simple answer, don't put finger to key.

End result, you dished shit, and got some back, just seems you got shit from more sources than you expected. Awww.

dude, you can see the vehicles coming!

let me explain.

firstly, if all of a sudden a shadow appears where there wasn't one before get up and start running.

secondly, if all of a sudden the symbol for a car appears right in front of you and the metre counter starts getting closer and closer then get up and run.

not fool proof but if you think there is a chance that the commander is going to do that then these are two ideas that might help. the shadow one has saved me loads of times from a good squashing!

Well, if you consider the numbers to be most important and nothing else....

1. I'm guessing your age is between 12 and 15 years. If not then your maturity is.
2. Here's my real numbers from back in Feb.

Maybe I should do another one of these?

And there's no decent excuse for your knife kills. F###ing stat pansy.

As you focus on the benefits of watching shadows, I'm guessing you notice the drop icons about as regularly as I do when you are in combat. As for the shadows? Set your shit to low. Try enabling shadows. That's right, 1.3 changed that too.

So your point is...?  That you set up multiple accounts to hide your level of play?  That I called you on your level of play?

You say I'm "dumb," "deserve" to die (in game of course), and a "pansy," yet you question my maturity?

Again, I'm not sure where you get off telling me how I ought to be playing or how you believe I play the game.  I'm not engaging in some silly accusations of what I think your play style is or should be.  But I do get a kick out of your mouthing off and, lo and behold, it turns out you're just plain old lousy.  Sorry to rub your nose in your own poo.

Back on topic, on the shadow issue, yeah I've seen the shadow and know it precedes impending death by vehicle drop. The vodnik seems to cast the biggest shadow and it seems like that's the one that gives itself away the easiest.  The pressing and holding "e" hint is a good one, but that's just a pain to do all the time.  Next time I see the shadow I'll try the e key instead of scooting.

First Post:
I drop vehicles on snipers and arty regularly.  I also snipe regularly.  Pay attention to your area to avoid cartillery.  The simple sniper tricks that disguise your profile on the sky also help you avoid 'The Crush'.  Snipe from next to trees and buildings, so the vehicle can't hit you directly.  There have been countless times where I have watched a vehicle slide past my scope because I couldn't be hit directly.  Consider teh vehicle drop to be a warning to move, since the OP commander knows where you are and is vectoring in additional troops.

The best thing is to drop it on a guy on low roof (like the one next to City Ent. in Sharqi), killing him, then watching it roll off the roof and take out two more guys!

This seems to be an unpopular sentiment despite the creators intent, but I agree.  It just isn't in the spirit of the game.  If you want to do that shit, go camp in the hotel in Karkand on some unranked server where that shit belongs.  This kind of stuff is why there is ranked and unranked servers in the first place.

I'm one of those commanders who throws jeeps around like they're candy. And yeah. I'll happily throw one at a successfull sniper that is eluding my team despite sevel spots, and even a UAV ! (I'll probably be bitching more about that at another time). I throw vehicles a lot for several reasons (in prioritized order):

1) Upon request (unless ofcourse the request is rediculous)
2) At a spawn where there are more people than transportation
3) To squad leaders I have asked to take a flag far from their current location (most Squads will NOT follow orders, so I have to make due with the few that actually follows orders)
4) Against successfull snipers
5) Against non-moving infrantry (including enemy commanders)
6) Against non-moving vehicles (btw, this is VERY tough if you're not mech, the buttom of the hummer is NOT flat like the vodnik, it's doable with the chinese transporter, but difficult, and forget about trying with a DPV)
7) Against enemy arty (only as mech or china cmdr, as US I only do it to stop a shell when the arty is firing, thus hoping to save a  ticket. Same reason as above, the non-flat buttom makes it impossible to balance the car o nthe arty)
8) On specific maps where I can "pin" the vehicle between an asset and a building to cause explosion I will do so.

This means that overall, if I'm the mech/china commander, I will probably find time to drop a vehicle on the arty at least twice every ten minutes or so (on Dalian, almost noone repairs). And I do so because it's good for my team. If I can deny the enemy commander his assets (particularly his arty) I can make his team fight less effectively, or even prevent the loss of many tickets from MY team. This can frequently secure the win.
Ofcourse if someone is standing by to repair the arty, then a cartillery drop is wasted. So I wont bother. Similarly, if you do it TOO frequent, then people WILL start to repair the assets faster. And that is counter productive. After all, what I want is to disable the enemy arty for as long as possible, so having it instantly repaired will get me nothing.
For that same reason I NEVER EVER try to blow up the US arty on Karkand untill AFTER the US has taken the hotel. This way fewer people will spawn there and be aware of the missing arty. Sure Karkand is a bad example because all the vehicles with engineers in them will roll by and repair, but the idea is the same for ALL maps. If people frequently spawn next to the assets, then taking them out wont do ou any good (except for the single point you get for C4'ing them, and you wont even get that with cartillery bombing). Now if we're talking an F15 strike on the assets, then count me in, I do that ALL the time... Just for the fun of it, and I cant understand pilots who thinks it's a waste of bombs. Sure on large maps arty will take out fewer people, but the scanner and UAV are STILL important to deny the enemy commander, and on many maps with planes, it's easily possible to destroy these without them being repaired anytime soon.

So in conclusion: I don't think it's wrong to cartillery the enemy assets, I just think as commadner you need to be aware that this is a strategic option that CAN be used, but needs to be done so wisely, or you risk being counter productive (BTW; I ALSO got my exp. Engineer from some du***ss CONSTANTLY doing cartillery bombings, So I know how tedious it is to have to spend an entire round fixing arty).

I'm going to say it, I think that the Car drops are great
I was one of those who believed that dropping vehicles was going to be pointless but how many times have we all been at a flag now and called for a vehicle? Maybe we just didnt notice how much faster it made the game?

Seeing as this thread is moving onto the subject of 'cartillery' I'll make a comment on this too. It was one of the first things I talked to a clan mate about, 'wouldnt it be cool if we could veh drop on enemy inf?' I think it IS pretty cool, even when it happens to me i see the funny side (just as i saw the funny side of that supply crate kill )

Something I DO do as commander is to somtimes drop a veh on the airstrip... maye i shouldnt but ithink it's funny to watch plane whores refuse to leave their plane to move the vehicle for fear of losing it. a non co-operative team will not be able to work it out and lose air power.  I realise this is quite evil and dont exactly do it v often but can be funny

Haha, I'm probably going to get killed for this but I was playing on Wake and US was getting denied, so there was no where to for me to drop cars. (After droppping some on the deck to give my boys something to play with ) So I took out there Z-10 3 times, and I killed their J-10 once when he flew right into a car I was dropping on the enemy tank.

Something definitely needs to be done lol.
