Check out this amazing interactive tabletop display being developed by Edward Tse (and Mitsubishi) as part of his PHD research. The beginning of the clip shows some very cool stuff being done with Google Earth but the real eye popper is when he starts playing Warcraft on it and using hand gestures and speech synthesis is able to interact with the game without either keyboard or mouse. This tech. could literally change the face of gaming as we know it once game developers get their minds around the idea.
Granted, it will be a very long time before something like this becomes commonplace, but Warcraft is already working with it. Simply amazing.
