Discuse about the expert knife badge getting changed from 18 kills in a round to 100 global knife kills, Doesz any one think its unfair?

I don't think it's particularly unfair. If you can manage 18 knife kills IAR (without being a cheating fucker on a knife & pistol server) then 100 global shouldn't take you long.
18 IAR, 6 rounds, maybe 4 hours play. Nothing.

18 IAR is hard enough. It was done to get rid of the K/P servers. Its not unfair
lopht, then why do they still have 18 kills IAR for the pistol, I think a lot of people will still go on a pistol knife server for that.
And imho, 18 kills with knife is easier than 18 kills with pistol. (I did both pre 1.3) once you learn how to sprint dive and stab one's leg, that's easier than pumpin 9 bullets in someone and having him turn around and kill you anyway (or have someone else get your kill).

expert knife always had 100 global kills, they just removed the IAR requirement. 100 knife kills is damn easy theres nothing 'expert' about it. 18 in a round tho, you have to be good; Like me . I dont see anything unfair as thereve made it easyier, its just stupid. And it wont get rid of K/P servers as people dont join them just for the medal.
What i do find unfair is the requirements for WCR. That they made those requirments harder to get, (ohhhh except for the noobs who cant win).

A good way to get pistol kills is to put a M24 bullet in the chest of E and then a single pistol bullet into him and voila a pistol kill.
18 Kills a round with a Knife is to hard of course!
But 100 Kills global?! I think to easy...
It would be better with 10 IAR and 250 global

I've got 99 knife kills now.
I thought the 18 kills in a round was high for both knife and pistol. 15 would be more reasonable for most people.
It sucks that i'm going to get my expert knife on my next knife kill. I love to knife to snipers and others who are unaware of their surroundings. I got my last knife kill on Operation Clean Sweep at the flag where the MEC attack chopper spawns. Some AT guy was more interested in looking for armor than me walking up behind him and stabbing him.

Id like to remember all the badges I fought hard to attain prior to patch 1.3. Like the war college ribbon...

15 is still pretty damned hard to do for the majority of people. MY K/D ratio took a beating when I went for my Vet knife and pistol badges so I decided to I'd only use the knife when it was unlikely I'd get killed. I still died a few times but not as much going from 60 to 99.
The War College Ribbon was unfairly impossible to obtain as it was. Now it's too easy obtain just like the Knife Badges.DeoValente9 wrote:

That's the whole point. "Most people" shouldn't be getting an "expert" badge. Experts should be an elite minority rather than the whole thronging mass of the the population.DSRTurtle wrote:

it might be unfair for the ones that have worked for a few rounds/hour like me to get their 18 kills IAR (not on knife/pistol server, on a normal one and I was proud )
but now this badge doesnt mean anything.
Personnally the ranks and awards before patch 1.03 were allright.. they were pretty hard to get but its not better when they are easy to get and dont mean anything like at this moment.

i think that it's cool it's changed to 100 kills... not everybody is good enough to get 18 knife kills in a fair server... now everybody has a chance at getting the Expert badge... i only have vet knife myself, but i got it before 1.3 so i'm happy with that...
FFS, this is Shit. I work my Ass off to get my Expert Knife badge, which was very hard to obtain. Expert Knife Badge now requires No Skill. Ditto with the Expert Spec-Ops. I Chucked C4 for 2 Fucking weeks, only for a Month later two thirds of the bf2 community to have the badges I WORKED MY ASS FOR.
All cause of Some 11 Year old Kid Complaining that he Cant get his Knife badge, but he still says he's too 1337 to put any effort into it. Fuck You EA, this game is near ruined.

And then they Leave us for almost 2 Months with Constant Crashing from servers.
EA should spend less time making another map that'll have more glitches, and start working on the Real Problems.

Agreed, doesn´t expert mean that you are very good at something. And it should be very hard to get expert badges because it´s the highest rank of a badge!Only the good/best should get those badges!aardfrith wrote:

I kind of think that any badge you wouldn't normally get in the course of helping your team is a bit lame. The pistol and knife bade jump out at me on this accord. I'm sure there are others, but I don't spend much time looking at the badges, nor any time trying to attain them, so I don't know the others.
I just don't see a guy running around knifing people, in some crazy attempt to get 18 knife kills IAR as being very helpful to a team. I do see someone getting an Assault Expert bade with 40 kills IAR as probably being pretty effective.
