To Easy
Too easy.

I'm a grammar Nazi too, but you gotta give the guys from Europe a bit of a break ;-) Frankly, I know I can't speak a word of Dutch, so props to him for being able to speak English passably correctly.
I'm dutch, and believe me, dutch people speak pretty decent english in general. Not surprising as english is a mandatory language in high school.Seether wrote:

Ah, kudos to you then. :-) I do the exact same thing you do, every grammatical mistake (even my own) pains me; because really, I do like proper grammar too. Boy, don't I wish the world would agree on one language! Heh.SargeV1.4 wrote:

Yeah! And it should be German! hehe...Seether wrote:

Yeah, cos it's such a sweet, pleaseant, passive sounding language... [/sarcasm]
hehe! I don´t know what it sounds for an foreigner... I think arabian is much offensive (don´t care)DoctorFruitloop wrote:

I got it after they changed the reqs for expert knife badge.
I was a bit pissed off cause i was starting to try to get it. ( i too a break of knife whore rounds after my vet knife badge)
its the pistol they should put hat drop the IAR req for expert. i'm sure i will never get it!

But get in a knife/pistol server and kill some peoples
Indeed lot of us died alot trying but the feel of joy once u got it was gr8 knowing u had something alot of players could only dream ofstryyker wrote:
or mabye you should become proficient enough with a knife to get 18 in a round, like alot of us did
Agree, well said buddy. +1 for ya.aardfrith wrote:

I thought the 18 kills in a round was high for both knife and pistol. 15 would be more reasonable for most people.
Hahaha
People wasted ages trying to get that award and then bang, everyone gets it free with a new patch.
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Seriously though, before the patch people are complaining how it's unfair to have to get that many kills in a round blah, blah blah. So EA respond to this and change it. Now people complain that it's too easy.
I bet if they released a patch that just corrected a couple of spelling mistakes people would complain.
The main problem I can see is there'll be less knife wielding award whores jumping foolishly at my DAO-12

WoW. Two great posts in a same thread. +1 for ya too.Jestar12345 wrote:
FFS, this is Shit. I work my Ass off to get my Expert Knife badge, which was very hard to obtain. Expert Knife Badge now requires No Skill. Ditto with the Expert Spec-Ops. I Chucked C4 for 2 Fucking weeks, only for a Month later two thirds of the bf2 community to have the badges I WORKED MY ASS FOR.
All cause of Some 11 Year old Kid Complaining that he Cant get his Knife badge, but he still says he's too 1337 to put any effort into it. Fuck You EA, this game is near ruined.
They've nerfed Medals, Ribbons, The Black hawk, TV missiles, and a Shit load More.
And then they Leave us for almost 2 Months with Constant Crashing from servers.
EA should spend less time making another map that'll have more glitches, and start working on the Real Problems.
That's My 2 Cents.
PS. Go Australia against Croatia tonight
Cheers,

If you guys who are quoting me think I like the fact that they made the knife badge so easy to get, I don't.
I never said I could or could not get 18 knife kills in a round. I could if I had too.
Like most of the posters I got my vet knife badge before the 1.3 patch. The 95% or so of the last 40 knife kills I have gotten are on maps other than Karkand and Warlord. I got my basic knife badge on Ghost Town.
I thought 18 was unreasonable. 15 in a round is still very hard to do. Yes there would be more expert knife badges out there earned legitimately, but I don't think there would be as many complaints about it.
18 Pistol Kills in a round is fairly easy to do. Just get a teammate to work with you on Karkand and you can do it.

Personally I liked the challenge. It only took me three rounds of attempting to get my veteran badge and then a few days later 1.3 came out and I never got to try for the 18 IAR. Ah well.
6 rounds? I got it on the first try! I'm not bad at knifing!DoctorFruitloop wrote:
That was a bit harsh don't you think.
I don't think it's particularly unfair. If you can manage 18 knife kills IAR (without being a cheating fucker on a knife & pistol server) then 100 global shouldn't take you long.
18 IAR, 6 rounds, maybe 4 hours play. Nothing.
Stop whining and get on with it.
Military qualifications aren't graded on a bell curve, they are standardized. Being an "expert" anything doesn't mean you're 1337, it means you've qualified for that level of certification with a particular ordnance.Natte wrote:
Agreed, doesn´t expert mean that you are very good at something. And it should be very hard to get expert badges because it´s the highest rank of a badge!Only the good/best should get those badges!aardfrith wrote:

The 18 IAR rule was silly for people who play on fair servers, and promoted KPO servers for people to obtain these badges.
1. It helps cut down on Knife/Pistol only servers.
2. Most importantly, It prevents people from ruining a round of a game for their team because they're "Going for their Knife badge". Spam dying while you try for knife kills doesn't help your team in the least... and should you not get the 18 kills, you get to ruin another round of play trying to get it. On a 16 player server one person acting like a dumbass can ruin the game for his team.
So instead of people going out and sitting on KPO servers, doing knife-kill-revive, or ruining games... you get the 100 knife kills naturally over time as you play.
I got mine... in August so I could care less what they do with it.
The way bf2 was made at its release was that badges, awards and ranks meant something through the whole online community. I mean by that : before patch 1.03 (for ranks) and 1.3 (for awards), someone who had a high rank or award could get some honor through the community and it was alright. When you make an online-only game, because of the fact that there are so many players, you have to make the awards so only a part of the players can get them and then, it may really mean something
but now, EA lowered the difficulty to an offline game, like if the player could only see his awards and compare to no one. Most of the offline games can be beaten in around 15 hours (not Oblivion I know) and EA makes the difficulty of BF2 like the one of an offline game. But you cant do that because in online games, we can compare ourselves to everyone else.
Now, every player is above sergeant, and lots of them are at First sergeant... but its not realistic at all when you look at real armies ranks...
so yeah the Expert badge was hard to get before patch 1.3, but that was the purpose because the ones who had it could get some honor through the community.

I wonder how many of those expert knife badges were obtained by knife/revive someone. I'm not accusing you or anyone else of doing that. I just happen to know a couple of people who were victims of such nonsense.-=raska=- wrote:

Pretty much every reward this game's stat system has to offer is a time stamp. It just used to require more time. I can't say I ever felt that people who have more ranks or rewards than most people deserved my respect.-=raska=- wrote:

People who play smart and play for their team get my respect no matter what rank they are.
100 kills with a knife to easy they should have left it to 18 kills now all the badges are to easy
well i got a little bit of a different story......all you need is to find a pistol knive server and take a "stab" at it lol...........the best i could say is wait til your sprint meter is up and then go in with the serial killer mentality if someone lays down bunny hop then lay in front and stab him in the face.....just check panzer830x in the search i got it and expert pistol....knive/pistol will give big pionts and kills especially for noobs....so thats all i cab give ya......
