getting 1 is acceptable but any more is pretty pathetic i got mine the first day i played on zatar getting owned by jets (dis was like during 1.03)
Depends. I got my third today by getting totally based raped. I was US on Gator and all our flags were owned expect for the upper deck. Needless to say, we had two heli's rapping us over and over again, however, I did spawn as anti tank and eventually shot down 4 of them. Still, the raping was bad.I.M.I Militant wrote:

i got one so far and i dont remember how was same round i got 27 death streak though
Try playing at 3 in the morning when your UTTERLY trashed. Purple hearts are almost guaranteed
I got one on the first day i bought BF2 i was like OMFG IM SO 1337 I GOT A MEDAL ... and then i found out what the requirements for the medal was.

i got mine around december, accually to tell u the truth i didnt know much about the awards back then and i thought the purple heart was a good thing But when i figured out that it wasent good i was really pissed off
Never got that one.....although, looking at the requirements, I am not exactly sure why....I figured there were at least a couple times I should have gotten it.........
My friend has about 23 purple hearts. He got better and hasnt got one since though. He used to get one every round lol
My friend (totally sucks. first game ever) hasn't got one yet =P me and a clan mate were wondering how.....and then it hit us...... He was so crap he couldn't even get the 5 kills to 20 deaths part. deaths were a breeze....couldn't get 5 kills though lmao

I even TRIED to get my first one! I had 5-7 stats when I tried to go for it; At 5-19 (jumping in front of every ENEMY vehcile (I'm not a TK forcing noob) I notice some guy planting c4 on one of our's apc's so I killed him. Then I realised I had to die 4 more times... lol :-) few minutes later there was this drumroll and I was so proud to have a medal. It took me some months to realise that medal is not that great. Now I like gold, silver and bronze medals more But at least i can say I had to do effort to get it...
And I'm trying to get every award so yeah it's cool to have some colors I don't really mind it though.

I got my first one 3 weeks after buying the game and haven't gotten one since. Not sure how I managed that since I royally sucked for the first few months.
