my BF2 has been lagging like crazy for some time, i have SF but i never really played it... iv'e used the SF cd to play BF2, but anyways, some people from my clan were in a SF server so i thought i should try it out... the first thing i realised was that there was no lag... so plzz tell me, does it help tp play with the right CD???

my cousin has borrowed the original BF2 CD... i don't wan't to take it back if theres no reason to do so...

Not that I'm aware of, I havn't put my SF cd in for months, and play sf all the time.  So, on a computer running ati graphics, some ancient sound blaster card, 1.5 gig of ram and a gigabyte motherboard, along with windows xp pro, no. it doesn't make a difference.

You might want to check the server ping before you join, or see if it's an FPS issue by typing renderer.drawfps  1 in the console (`/~ button).  I don't have much computer experience, but from what I know, the only things that cause lag are A) joining a server half the way around the world, B) having a crappy graphics card, and C) Not having enough ram.
