It's even worse when you dont even speak the DAMN LANGUAGE.

I got banned for saying 'He stayed inside'

Apparently the word 'yed' is thai for 'fuck'.

Yet the people who shout 'Ai Sad' which means 'You fucking dirty shit-eating animal' (no kidding) don't get banned.

I don't mind the language filters on TV2 servers.  Know why? I get kicked for lag everytime I go in there.  But do you really think soldiers IRL would be removed from the battlefield for saying "Shit, we've got 15 baddies advancing across the street!  Takes those fu*kers out!"  *Soldiers lieutenant grabs him by the ear and drags his ass back to base*

EDIT:  People DO have to vent some heat you know!
People People People.  PLease stop trying to make comparisons between BF2 and Real life.   I am so tired of this mantra..."well it wouldn't be Such and Such in a real war", and you wouldn't be sitting in your comfy chair either.  It's a game, enjoy it as a game, I promise you, the experience you gain playing BF2 is not even close to that of a real-life battle.

As for Language Filters.  I don't have a problem with them, however I do think it should warn before kicking.  So many of us play on so many different servers, it's hard to keep them all straight.  Since the Profainity filter is not standard, there needs to be a warning.  Who would ever expect to be kicked for "noob"

I was talking to a guy named n00b or something similar a few times in the battle and I got kicked.  Yes, tell us what words will get us kicked because I hate when that happens.

This is one of the reasons i'd like to see bf2s people gang together and get their own server. That way we don't have to put up with bs server admins and retarded rules.

I swear to christ I could litterally kill someone when I get kicked for swearing.

For me, that is like kicking someone because they are black. You cant help it its just the way you are.

And face it, its a competitive game, if someone swears at you, go kill them.

Jesus.

Yeah like if you get killed by your teammates or spawncamped a few times, you cant just be like "oh fiddle dee dee", something bad is gonna come out.

I think it should be added to servers like on the scroll through.  I got warned for saying "owned" once  (I nailed two helicopters with one shot in a tank, I deserved it).  I think it was on FHM 24/7 Dalian.  Good server though

Why not just censure the? Like, when saying SHIT, screen show: **** or MILK or something!

Yeah, that would be fun, when people shouts out "You suck ass"
Screen shows: "You eat cookies"

It would be nice if EA just made a client side filter you can enable or disable.  That way those that don't want to see the swearing won't.  While those of us that don't mind the swearing, don't waste so much time loading maps.  It really sucks when you're going after an award and get kicked for it.

Yea if server has to keep wordfilter on, they could make it like that so people don't get kicked.

I just always replace one letter with a star as a precaution. 'f*ck' doesn't get caught by the filter. Although I got instakicked today for saying 'idiot'

Yes, banned words should be displayed.
"Cock" is usually banned, and if you know that you wont say "cock"pit ingame

I just got banned from 24/7 Walmart Security [WS] for saying NOOB.  I didn't realize NOOB was a dirty word although it does have four letters.  Hopefully it is only a temp ban, otherwise I will need to create a few new IDs to join this CRAPPY server just call everyone a NOOB (since I don't have a life LOL) just to get banned.  What a waste of time I played about 3-4 rounds before an admin started to say IF YOU SAY NOOB YOU WILL BE KICKED.  So naturally I asked WHY IS NOOB A BAD WORD and got KICKED for excessive Teamkilling (When I didn't TK a single player at all)

All TV2 servers have a shitty language filter. It kicks you for the word "Suck" - which ive been kicked for many a time for telling a commander just what I think of him.
I have been kicked for noob and also WTF. I swear you can get it for a lot of other non offensive words.

In fact, whenever I play Bf2 now, I always put "F**K", or whatever - change it about with *'s so I dont get kicked. Its lame, and yes, I agree, they should tell you.
I know some1 whos got a global ban from all TV2 servers for saying "fuck off you fucking cunt" - to a TKer who joined our squad. Lame as hell.
