Firstly, and I'm sure everyone thinks this is needed, we need to be able to look up 'buddies' easily, not by looking up the ip address or name of the server on here, and writing it down and typing it in; but actually ingame!
Secondly, I think they really need to improve the whole Join Internet game thing completely, I personally wish that the pre-game bit should be a normal windows app, such as but NOT gamespy (cos the crossover between choosing a server in gamespy and loading it up, is just a complete waste of time). This would mean a number of things, you could still chat on your fav. chat programs such as msn, icq etc., when you'r not in an actual game.
This could / should include:-
* chat feature, with buddies and pm (private messaging): like msn, so you can chat to your clan or other buddies.
* send server details: such as ip address of server to buddies - "User -=88.dNk.88=- has requested you join him at ip address: 999.99.99.9; Click to Join game." or something similar (you get the idea).
* Favourite servers, with dividable sections: ie. Clan servers; Next Clan game (where you can type in date & time); favourite server collection (can't think of the right term - but one where you can say all EA UK servers).
* Info on other players (such as this BF2s.com info) or lookup feature - i know there is an ingame compare, but its one compare at a time and I don't like it! Inc. "This user is away playing at [server] [ip address] [number of players] [number of spaces] etc.
* as well as the usual options in the actual ingame app.
Well I may think of more useful bits later, and will post them if i do.
