Ok, so some of y'all might remember me - I was the loud mouthed sonofabitch who was post whoring here about 6 months ago. I took a hiatus from BF2 because, well, I'd just gotten completely burnt out.
So I come back, patch to 1.3, and go into a game - get 2 medals and 2nd lt immediately. Didn't even get time to get screenies! I mean wow...everything was nerfed. EA really went out of it's way to make this game nubby friendly eh? I mean, with the exception of the general ranks (which, I believe, have been set entirely too low and gives EA no way out for people who want more after 200k points - oops, wrong forum section ) I can't think of many things that haven't been touched.
I know when I get my WCR soon I'm gonna feel, well...dirty. Having a 2.5 (and probably much lower by the time I get it) win/loss, I just don't feel like I deserve it vs. people who went for the 3.0 win/loss. Team switcher ribbon be damned, it's still a lot of work. As for all the other medals/ranks/ribbons etc., I just kinda feel that EA is making BF2 more for the casual gamer who plays an hour or two a week. Don't get me wrong and nothing against those people, it's all well and good, but I just feel things have been...squished.
I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death already - just wanted to say hey to the community again and if you see me and my butterbar ass running around, try not to make too much fun of me while I'm gettin used to the game again (switched over from MMORPG haha).
Toodlez.
