If I want people to hear me, I have to put the microphone 1 cm away from my lips and they can still hear me hardly. If I run BF2VoiceSetup.exe and then move the slider down (so the microphone is more sensitive) and then click save settings, it says settings are saved but people still can't hear me well, and when I come back to look where is the slider set, it's at the same place it is by default.
there's a button in the options that says something like voip boost, boost being the keyword.... make sure that is clicked, will fix your problem
If the above fails
Go to My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001(assuming this is the prfile u are using)
Copy(ctrl+c) the file "ServerSettings.con" and paste(ctrl+v) it in the same folder, so u have a backup
Open this file in notepad.
Look for:
GameServerSettings.setVoipQuality 5
and set them to this(5) then save the file.
See if that makes a diffrence if this still doesnt work try to use the windows configuration in the control panel under sounds and audio devices then the Voice tab. Just adjust the volume under recording.

Problem is, that it doesn't even save the thing that I clicked Windows boost. So if I tic it and save settings, it's not tic because I can't save settings. I will try IBKCKNURASS tips tomorrow.comet241 wrote:

are you trying the boost in windows or in bf2 itself, i was referring to bf2 itself, it has it's own boost.
By Bf2 boost do you mean BF2VoiceSetup.exe? Cus that's noth working for me.comet241 wrote:

i mean go into the game, options, audio, then in the top-right corner, 4th option down should be "boost mic gain" make sure that is clicked and on.... that is the in-game boost i was talking about
Works now. Thanks, but people still say about the quality of sound. Oh well, I think it's just about VoIP. I use teamspeak, there people can hear me well. 1+ for helping me.comet241 wrote:

lol, yea, i said nothing about quality, it is piss poor compared to teamspeak, but it works for what's needed. no prob on the help there.
