Hi guys,

I haev a mate of mine whos getting married soon, and Im gonna be his best man. He really loves playing BF2 and is round my place most weekends to play it on my PC.

I want to buy him a copy of BF2 as a wedding present but first I wana know how well its gona run on his PC.

His system specs are

Authentic AMD Athlon XP, 2100
1024 MB of PC3200 DDR
AGP Nvidia Geforce 6600 256mb gfx card

Im not 100% sure on the rest of his specs but the above should giev you a reasonable idea of his PC.

How well will BF2 run on his machine? 40fps or medium/low detail? or ???

Thanks for anyone who can help, and possible karma for any helpful replies (leave your name).

Well I think it'll run. He'll probably just have to have things set reasonably low.

Should be able to get 60fps+ with that ok , as long as the settings are low.

Keep em low, so the processor wont have to chug as much, definately playable.

Keep the res a 1024x768 or lower and you should be able to run medium settiings.

Absolutely man, video card is the biggest factor for gaming.  You'll see large improvements switching to that card.  After that I'd look to increase your RAM to 2gb if you are looking for more performance in the future.

Send him to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srl

I use it all the time to give me a good idea if my PC will run a game.
