Playing on Ranked Servers

I'm new to this game so maybe I'm just missin' something, but I only seem to be earnin' ranked credit for playin' BF2 online when I click on the "Play Now" yellow button on the lower right corner of the BFHQ screen. When I go to online play and I do a search for [x] Ranked servers I get a huge list of servers, I play one (labeled RANKED) for a while, but when the matches are over I don't receive any credit for my time spent on that server.

Is there there something simple that I'm missin' out on? Thanks for the help in advance!

well, this could be two things i think:

1. the stats update after a few minutes/hours, it doesn't appear after the game you played, you have to wait before the next ea update is

2. are they really ranked? if you want to be sure it is an ranked server, you have to look in the list.
if you see an "rank icon" it's a ranked server. there must be two golden arrow-things pointing upwards.. like this:

but then closer to each other..
maybe that could help?

* btw, you can also apply filters by: "ranked servers only" or something..

Thanks for the reply. When I do the search for a server I only check Ranked servers in the filter. So that shouldn't be the problem. I didn't know that the chevrons next to the server info identified that it was Ranked. I'm pretty sure I only played on ones that had those double chevrons. I've waited for over 10 hours and no new info was posted on my stats from playing on the servers that came up with the ranked filter search.

Wow, that does suck. Hopefully I stear clear of those servers than. I don't want to waste my time anymore than I already do! lol

Best way to really get a ranked server is use all seeing eye, yes you need to type the IP all times, but it finds all servers with low pings for me and right ones like not full, not empty, ping under 200 and all stuff

I have a followup question also:

How can you see if a server is ranked cause sometimes i see RANKED near the title-name and sometimes not ,but the server itself looks ranked. Is it so that IF the title RANKED is not included in the name for sure it is UNRANKED or are there other solutions.

If it has the two bar chevron, looks like the bars on the rank of corporal, then it is ranked.

Well from what I've read and have now been told you should see the two stacked yellow chevrons to the left of the server name. Also, when you do a server search and you refine the search by clickin' [X] Ranked, you should only get ranked servers.
