I just encountered a driver issue i thought i'd share and see if its just me or what...
Whenever i used to load up BF2, before i logged in it popped something up saying i needed to update my driver for best performance. I always skipped it and the game played just fine. Recently though, i went ahead and updated the driver. I noticed a slight difference in BF2, but nothing worth getting excited about. To me it plays the same.
ok..
My kids come over on weekends and my daughter likes to play Need For Speed Underground 2, another EA Games title. She plays it everytime she's here. Today we went to load it up and after the splash screen it just goes back to desktop. WTF?!?
Thinking about it, all i could come up with was the driver. It was the only thing i had changed. So i went and did a rollback and wala, NFSU2 works now.
Anyone know what the issue could be? They are both EA Games, why would there be an incompatible driver for two games from the same company? Am i going to have to do this everytime i wanna play NFSU2, or do i just keep my out-of-date driver installed for BF2? It just doesnt make any sense.
Anyone from EA GAMES here? Care to explain?
