Hi !

I know there's a in-game server info.  BUT the port info ALWAYS shows "16567" (standard port) and very often that's not the port the server is running with ...

So is there a ways to find out the port number without leaving the game and use the server browser ?  Maybe with the console ?

Thanks for help !

There *might* be a console command that will give you that information, but I don't know it. When in game I just bring up the score board and at the top left there is the server ip, though it never shows the port.

If you right-click and then click on the arrow by that IP you get the server info, which now includes a port number. However, as L.E.Alpha.tUeTe says, it only ever shows 16567 as the port number, which is not always the case. I've tried messing around with a few console commands but nothing worked. Best bet is to make a note of it before you join.

Right, I went into a server to check this out and was happy to find the new addition, at least until I realized that the port it listed was default and I knew the server I was in did not have a default port.

I guess you missed the 'in-game' part of his question.

I have tried all console commands that you get from consoles help (those unlocked..) but there are absolutely NONE usefull.
Only freaking showfps-related are usable.

There are different ways to get some commands to actually do something but not important enough.

Digging the engine, like bobcat, is boring like hell...and the more you "study" the game the more it starts to look that making "patches" or inject own code is much more easier than trying to figure useful/nice/working commands from actual game.

P.S.

Working (only few of them) and maybe sometimes needed other commands for client:

-"game.lockfps XX" where XX is the desired value for screen update (in Hz) where engine TRIES to keep it. "game.lockfps 100" is default.

-"renderer.drawfps X" where X is 1 or 0. On or off. Default 0
-"renderer.drawhud X" where X is 1 or 0. Default 1. Draws players HUD

..so nothing fancy...
