Bf2 is really starting to grind. EA take note...

Im trying to give this game the benefit of the doubt, im trying to stay faithful, im trying to continue to tell myself that its enjoyable to play.........

but.

its not.

Its grinding me into the ground getting "lost connection" every 20 minutes.. feels like i havent completed a round in ages!! i dunno what i feel for a game that i have pumped around 600 hours into. 25 solid days. almost a month of my life.... and for what? For a progressively crumbling experience, buggy, glitchy, unstable... dare i go on?

patches are ment to IMPROVE a game, but fuck me ragged, if this game is now "improved", then the "new improved bf2142" can suck my fat one. ive never been a fan of ea, ive had to complain to them on every game i have bought in the last 3 years for one reason or another.

In the past i have sworn, 'no more ea games'... this time i mean it.

Im not buying 2142. and i doubt im alone...

Well, what bothers me the most is, I payed 40 euro's for BF2, another 30 euros for its nice expansions, so I bought a GAME, yeah thats right a GAME, and all i've been hearing is, ''we want realism'' *cry* *cry* One patch later, jumpin and shooting at the same time gone, nade launcher, nerfed, planes nerfed, choppers nerfed, AA increased *cry baby cry* from planes and choppers, and now allmost a year later I payed 70 euros to get a game thats supposed to be realistic, If i want realism I go out on the street, and when I buy a game I expect that I can do anything within the imagination of its creator, and not within in the whining of people, thats why I'm playing UT again Bunny hoppin and all that kind of crap yeeehaaaw

I did some searching on such a site, just typed in Battlefield 2 and got the Cd version for 37 euros dunno the site anymore

i had one lost connection last night. before that it was about a week ago..some things suck, some have been made better. The only thing i dont like is cartillery on people, but on equipment it should be fine.

Whats odd is how its not affecting everyone the same way. At first saw some serious problems with server stability, but that seems to have (mostly) gone away. I'd probably be pissed as well if I couldn't complete a round.
Have you tried giving your computer an EA enema (uninstalling, including going through the registry and deleting all things EA, and then reinstallting )?

That pretty much fixed my BF2 Problems.

Yup, I agree with all of the above. Patch 1.22 sorted out 99.99% of all previous problems.

LEAVE IT ALONE!

I was impressed by patch 1.22 and its amazing performance capability. Btw, I am one of those guys with a crap computer just new enough to play BF2 at low settings.

I was even able to turn a few on medium at patch 1.22

I wish someone out there would start a petition to revert to patch 1.22

It was SOO much better, agreed?

Lately it was been working well for me. I have been playing on the Quebec Vibe clan server, obviously based in Canada, for the past two days and not one crash has happened to me. Although I have been on other servers and they crash all the time. An example are many of the 24/7 karkands. I don't play kark too much anymore, but I notice they become empty then full, and it repeats all night long. Just try to find a server that doesn't crash, and yes, I know that is hard to do.

Although I too am effected by glitch patches, I can't say I agree with the widely felt negativity towards EA patches 2142 etc.

I've been in Battlefield for the long run, starting with the 1942 multiplayer demo. Honestly, it is irritating with the latest patch in BF2, which has the most bugs so far with the most irritating being crashing servers and games. I still have some faith that EA and DICE will rectify this though, and here is my reason:

People say that BF2 has no money in it for EA so EA will give up on it. This is not entirely true. EA know that if they leave a game buggy and frustrating people will be less inclined to buy future EA games as you yourself have proven with your refusal to buy BF2142. BF2142 relys on BF2 to gain support and technically if BF2 phizzels out in a buggy mess, 2142 will fail miserably. EA relys on BF2 to at least end it's popularity as a fully functional game, and will not, (or should not,) simply give up until they have is as right as they possibly can.

To them, we're all just potential customers, there is no such thing as a customer to them, and to keep you as a potential customer, they MUST PLEASE YOU!

I should be a fucken marketing manager for those guys. Until then I remain cautiously optimistic of the next patch. They are entering the stage when they need to get it right.

EA has lost me as a customer with the multitude of patches and subsequent patches to fix the patches. Only to have more patches that cause more......I will probably give Quake Wars a try too. Looks like a good game.
