You can set some of the buttons on the mouse to be a key on the keyboard. So say, for example, you wanted to set the night vision key to be a button on the side of your mouse...

Using the logitech software, set the button on the side of the mouse to be '7' rather than 'back' (or whatever it is)

I don't have the MX510 but i am assuming that the software program is roughly the same

I am using the MX1000 but software should be the same.

Had the same problem, at least with the older version of Mouseware / Setpoint. I couldn't figure out why the game would not let me configure the other buttons (the game simply didn't recognise the other buttons).

Finally I kinda gave up untill the newer versions of Setpoint (version 2.4 and newer) became available. I stopped trying to configure the buttons in-game and configured them using Setpoint instead, external if you wish.

Try d/l Setpoint 2.60 (or higher) and install it. It should recognise your MX510 and in the Mouse Settings you can configure all you like.

Start Mouse Settings

Select Mouse Button Settings (1)

Select the button you want to assign in Select Button (2)

In Select Task (3) select Keystroke Assignment

In Specify Keystroke (3a) enter the key (i.e. 4 for grenade) you use in BF2

This works for me and has greatly enhanced my game-experience and 'skill'.

Happy Hunting
