As the title says: I installed the new patch, go into a game, and then as soon as I click the "Join Game" button the game crashes and exits to windows.  This happens in BF2 and Special Forces...  What could be the problem?  I find this confusing especially since I have not played in quite some time and I have changed no options.

it's a well known bug in 1.3. There are lots of solutions on this forum. search it!
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
