Cartillery...improper Use

Firstly, I am what most of you guys would call a 'NOOB' so apologies if this is going over old ground, but am new to the game and am falling in love with most of it, but there is always some tw@t that gets on your pips!

I enjoy having a go at being commander, and don't consider myself to be too bad (B.R score of 231 as Commander). Don't often get the chance due to my lowly rank, but hey, I'm working on that.

Last night, the opposing commander spent the entire game dropping Cartillery on my arty guns. As a 'Noob', I tend to keep my mouth shut, even though I'm thinking, "FFS, either play the game as it was meant to be played or F*** Off!!!"

Just wondered what the appropriate action would have been...
a) Do the same back (that makes me as big a cock as him though).
b) Report/Complain....but to who??
c) Keep my mouth shut and stop whingeing??

Become an engineer and repair them, or let some teammate repair is for mad repair points!

I hope they fix this problem with patch 1.4? but who knows they'll manage to screw the game up again somehow.. You could drop a supply crate on him, but the best way is to be an engineer and get some mega repair points.

yeah, it's pretty much a case of swear at the guy while ordering a squad to repair.

I think on one of the other cartillery threads someone mentioned getting his expert engie from the opposition cartillerying assets.

If I were you, I should spawn as engeneer, drop one car for yourself and stand next to the arti with it (that way he can't drop it on your head or you will not explode together with the arti). Or tell someone there are insane repair points to be collected *G*

i won'T use cartillery unless the other comander does

i dont give a damn.
i just tell the other commander: "nice way to waste a car dork, now my teammates have another vehicle", and after that i send a car OVER his head with a nice arty strike around him.

only time I've ever actually used cartillary was on a sniper. Squads weren't listening, I wasn't about to waste arty on a single sniper, so I figured I might as well take that car that no one wanted and drop it on his head.

Dropping it on ersources on a regular basis seems like a waste. Maybe if no one at the time needed a lift, but I doubt that'd go on the whole round.

It sucks in pubs, but in a match I was playing commander and noticed the other commander right under the arty pole.

So, I dropped a car on the pole, it blew up also taking the commander out.

Hehehe...

Anywho, do it back. It's a valuable strategy especially on 16 man servers. One drop and no more arty.

Might have been me - i love dropping vehicles on snipers, and if I cant find any then go for the arty.

I agree it's not really in keeping with the spirit of the game but then again theres a lot that isnt.

Tell you what is really arsing me off at the moment

When almost every other member of my team either flies planes/choppers or stands around waiting for them.

Is happening more and more regularly esp at Gulf of Oman

Funnily enough I've started playing Karkand a lot more now just to avoid those fecking choppers

Fine if you want to fly, just dont spend the whole time doing it - why not actually try and capture a flag every now and then? Just sitting on the carrier attracting arty (and carty) is a waste of everyones time
