I definitely prefer ground-pounding. However, about two-thirds of my vehicle time is usually due to "needing" to use the vehicle at the time, rather than "wanting" to use it. The other third is that rare instance where I just want to mow people down.
In the end, there just really isn't any equivalent to getting down and dirty in the trenches. It just seems so impersonal in the seat of a cockpit. :p
